Like others when a knife, Spyderco or Great Eastern Cutlery ceases to give me pleasure in the looking, handling, using and just thinking about the excellent design, it gets moved down the road. Consequently, my “wow” knives are:

•Reinhold Rhino. Such a superbly designed big/small knife. I have dreamed about this one.

•Para 3 G10 S30V plain Jane. Aesthetically the perfect size, designed and functional every day carry folding knife. Period.

•Lil’ Lum Nishijin. Absolutely a beauty. Ergonomics you don’t understand or even know about until you use one. Perfect small EDC, and, well, it’s a Bob Lum design.

•My Schempp Bowie. All the classic Bowie elements are there, big clip blade, brass bolster guards, coffin handle and that Great cranked down negative blade angle. Gives me the chills. (Remember the San Saba sandbar fight!)

•Great Eastern Cutlery 62 Easy Pocket Congress in unicorn ivory with Wharncliffe and pen blades. Abraham Lincoln carried a Congress. If it was good enough for Abe…
Overheard at the end of the ice age, “We’ve been having such unnatural weather.”

For me, it would be:

- Caly 3 & 3.5
- Manix

Honorable mentions to the Caly Jr. and the Persian

Cool thread. Everytime I carry my Para 3 LW, I wonder why I don't carry it everyday. I just love everything about it. The wire clip, that BD1N, the lightweight and compression lock are all great!

I have the Kris as my main Spyderco 'fancy' knife.

Thank you kind mr necro man!

I’ll add my Watu to this list, I seem to be in a perpetual honeymoon phase with this thing. Plus as a non spydie mention, I’ve got a few pieces from Takamura Cutlery’s cheaper, red handled, range that preform WAY above their price point. Nothing beats em as far as budget kitchen pieces.
Lightly insane.

Current spydie collection: Watu, Rhino, UKPK Salt G10 bladeswap, Yojimbo 2 Smooth G10 Cru-Wear, Manix lw “mystic” 20cv, SmallFly 2, Waterway, Ladybug k390, Caribbean
Current favorite steels: sg2/R2, lc200n/Z-FiNit, 3v

The OG Mantra.

I second this; every time I put it in the pocket it stays longer than expected.
So it goes.

I've had a Takamura 210mm Gyuto & 150mm Petty for a couple of years now and I love them.
So it goes.

So cool to see others using Takamura’s stuff, wish there was more discussion about em. I can’t wait to get my hands on something from their “hana” line.

Dude! That must be the knife you put in your pocket when you drive your gold-plated Ferrari to The French Laundry to have dinner with Daniel Craig.

K390 Endura, just keeps cutting and cutting...

Introvert, it slices really well and is kinda a multitool in some nonobvious ways.

H1 Dragonhawk SE, punches way above its size. Just rips through everything.

Whenever I don´t carry my Stretch 1´s for some time and then come back to this model, it always "wows" me again.

For me the perfect small (in my own size categories) EDC knife, just as the Endura is the perfect regular sized one.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

For some reason my copper PM2 keeps making it into my pocket. It just inspires confidence. I'm not afraid to beat on the knife a little bit every now and then and do things I feel the other knives in my collection are too fragile to do.

Blue/204P Domino. I don't usually go in much for flippers or framelocks but the Domino is just a really nice design and the execution by Taichung is fantastic. Cuts really well, too - I got out the calipers and it's about 0.2mm thinner than my Manix2 despite both being listed as 3mm.

I'd say that's why it keeps "wow-ing" me - it's not what I carry the most or my usual type of preference but I'm always impressed when I pick it back up.
