Looks awesome, I can’t wait to get one. Although I’ve pondered whether to hold out for a Wharncliffe version. Who am I kidding, I’ll probably get both. :D

and I’m more than happy to pay $115. ****, I think it’s a steal of a price. Half of America payed $120-$150 for a flimsy S30v bugout, **** right I’ll pay $115 for a k390 Delica!

Must Get!

You're close enough to the SFO, you're worth it, go get one! ;) Besides, you can check out the new Chaparral Sun & Moon while you're there.

Got!

P.S. - Thanks for the tip about NK having them. I added the sun moon to the cart as well. FWIW, SFO is more than retail; they don't want to compete with their retailers. This is a fairly typical relationship for retailers and manufacturers that sell direct. They do offer discount pricing to certain groups, but that isn't me.

I also just picked up the Delica K390 from National Knives. I've ordered from them before.

This will be my 3rd Delica and my 3rd Spyderco K390. Its fantastic steel and I definitely do notice a difference from the S30V level of steels.

Ouch!!! :(

I keep wondering how much longer I will be able to afford them at US prices... my knife purchases are substantially down this year. I'm going to sell two to help offset the cost.

I get this! I've been telling myself I would sell this Rex 45 lil Native to justify the last two things I bought.

But I still have it.. :) oops

How are you all liking this steel?

BTW, don’t worry, y’all. This is a regular production series.

I like everything about the K390 Urban - low weight, low cost, fantastic blade length given the overall dimensions of the knife. Not least, I love the k390 itself because of its gentle accumulation of patina. Really lends the little knife some character. I was always on the lookout for other knives with the same metal so it's great that some are coming to market. I'd certainly grab me a K390 Delica if the prices were more encouraging in Europe. Better yet, a Stretch, which has always been my favourite of those classic FRN Spydercos. (Still kicking myself for selling my plain ol' VG10 Stretch...)

The grind on my new Delica was so fine all it took was a few passes on the white Tri-Angles to make it even more slicey. I took it to work and looked at the edge in a stereo microscope at 30x power. The micro bevel left by the Tri-Angles was even on both sides from end to end with no chips or micro cracks at all on the edge. I’ve got more than a few S30V blades that took some work to get them to that point.

That’s pretty interesting. I wonder if all are like that?

Picked up one at a brick and mortar that is nearby me here in Ontario Canada. Good example. Not sure how I feel about the scales colour yet ... hoping it will grow on me a lot. I'm planning on this to be my new light/short pants carry.
