Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
I agree with a lot of the things requested in the thread, so it’s hard to just say I’m only interested in a titanium Ikuchi.
A Ti Ikuchi, an integral compression lock Ikuchi, one with more contoured/textured scales, definitely serrations, and a salt Ikuchi.
That all sounds right at home with the design.
I like the sort of peel ply carbon fiber that’s already offered by Taichung, but less so on handles without a lot of surface area like the Ikuchi’s.

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
Part of the charm of the Ikuchi for most was how light it is. I can see a Kraken Ikuchi XL. Even a fixed with traditional Japanese handle. If it were titanium, I would want it in LC200N being a nautical themed and that Japan is an island nation and in XL. The Kraken would be a great follow up to the great Ikuchi. I like the knife think it is a great pocket paring knife and the XL version would make a fancy steak knife. I would want a silk lanyard pull cord with a bronze pin to fit in the handle/blade hole for funsies.

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
OMG, a fluted and contoured Ti Ikuchi would be absolutely phenomenal!! To me, the Ikuchi needs 3D-contoured scales. I put aftermarket CF scales on that are contoured, and it is now my ultimate gentleman’s carry.

Count me in on any upcoming Ikuchi variant.
Decided to jump back 7 or so pages and resurrect a deserving thread. I didn't see it the first time around, and I don't think the Ikuchi gets enough thought or discussion in general.

So it goes.

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
Absolutely. The Ikuchi is my favorite EDC. I even picked up an extra one in case they get discontinued. Echoing others here - Ti and LC200N would be amazing!

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
IMO the Ikuchi is lightweight enough. I don't know what type of blade material I'd like as it's super thin and a great slicer. Ti scales sound sexy. I'd still like to see a blacked out version though... maybe solid CF as handle material.

Nah, I prefer the original wire clips. Maybe I’ll have it cerakoted one day.

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
One of the reasons I love the Ikuchi is because it's really lightweight and it doesn't weigh down my scrubs or basketball shorts in the waistband. I think Ti would be an awesome addition, but I think it will weigh it down a bit. Ikuchi LW? I don't think it can get any lighter
It's also not really a "hard use" knife, so I don't see the need for a super exotic steel.
Fingers still crossed for a blacked out model

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
Frame lock, titanium Ikuchi! Just make enough of them. I do not have a lot of small knives but I'd want this knife.
S30V is fine by me, but if it is in an upgrade steel that would be fine.
I have a Zero Tolerance 0450FCZDP Dmitry Sinkevich Factory Custom Flipper in ZDP-189 and it needs some company.

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
I'd be interested. Hopefully it would come with a more premium steel, like 20cv, m390, cts-204p, or cts-xhp
Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
If they go Titanium frame lock, then why not go all the way with an LC200N Salt? Looks like it would make an excellent bird & trout knife or even a pocket paring knife to go along with the SpydieChef. The Mantra 2 is my favorite EDC and as much as I like M4, I kinda wish they had done an LC200N version, too. The Ikuchi has thinner stock, but as the blade configurations on both are somewhat similar, I would pony up for a salty Ikuchi.
Most seem to bemoan the weight penalty of titanium as opposed to the FRN light weight models, but actually I like that they are so much more easy on the pockets.

Since we are just wishing for things and it seems like it takes Spyderco a few years of pre-production for TI models. I'll take the idea of an Ikuchi Salt framelock and ask that they use Vanax Superclean! It seems like it is a long overdue steel for Spyderco and an Ikuchi Salt would just be awesome in multiple ways, many of which you pointed out!
So it goes.
