I didn't realize they were going to do the Z-wear Shaman in a serrated package as well.

Oh sweet! Sounds excellent! I'm excited in general to try teeth on cru-wear/z-wear. I've never seen that before!

I may be mistaken, but the serrated blade seems to be a placeholder since the one in the video was S30v and not Z-Wear. The reveal showed it as a plain edge so I'm guessing all they had at the time was serrated or maybe Eric wanted to use a serrated blade. These are just my observations, but maybe they are sneaking in something with serrations that they didnt announce

I can't actually say for sure but I don't think it will be offered in serrated edge, I think it will be plain edge only. The example shown in that video was an S30V blade.

I’d be very interested indeed in a full SE Z-Wear Shaman. Very interested. Would make an excellent b-day gift. :D

Eric alluded to something coming in burlap micarta...
Maybe a Chaparral?

Yeah, after watching the whole vid it was definitely an s30v blade in the micarta scales. Looks like Eric didn't have a finished one to show, so had to use a borrowed blade.

He seemed to be talking about burlap micarta. That'd look great on a chap! Or maybe one of cruwear/micarta fixed blades we've talked about on here is actually in the works.

Did anyone catch that Eric said the s90v cf native Chief would not be peel ply but a different texture/pattern? Interesting

I caught it as well but I believe it's still peel ply, just a different texture of peel ply than we've seen on the other S90/CF knives. I know the Chief is still solid carbon fiber but maybe the texture will be similar to the peel ply on the Sage 5?

To me, the carbon fiber on the Chief seemed a little more visible than the Lil Native. I'm guessing it's because of the different textures?

It looks exactly like the CF on my new Autonomy2 which I really like, it's got great texture, not like the smooth as glass CF which I really don't care for.

I really hope they are going to do a SE Z-Wear Shaman, that would be awesome, I have the SE S30V Shaman and it's such a cutting beast. :D

Cheers,

John

While I hope the Zwear Shaman is SE, I also highly highly doubt it. I feel like all those people who were really mad about not getting the Cruwear Shaman would be uber angry if their consolation prize came in that dreaded no good for nothing SE
All SE all the time since 2017

I wasn't interested in the SpyOpera at all until I saw this video. The pictures just haven't done it justice, but seeing it in Eric's hand - it just looks phenomenal. The SpyOpera has now become a "must buy" for me.

I was thinking, I hope they are both the new CF on the autonomy 2 from smkw. I agree with @JMM that it seemed like the same
