Just read up on that one, very cool. Looks like a tank.

Always going to be the GB1
I always loved those Bradley’s. Had a chance to trade a Ruger LCP for one a while back and passed. That one still stings...

This question always gives me heart palpitations, but today I would go with the original Starmate.

I genuinely hate this question because it's so difficult to answer, even despite my "monogamous knifestyle" because I really like different knives for very different reasons so there are always multiple reasons why one knife would be the one I'd keep over another. There's an answer for favorite user, one for sentimental value, one for steel/handle combo and so on. It's a really hard question to narrow down to just one unless we do just one knife per category.

HAP 40 Endura.

If I was even more in the outdoors and mountains than I am anyway already: Probably Pac Salt SE.
Especially, but not only, if you allowed me a PE fixed blade... ;)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

This question is as old as the internet itself. :) Despite that it isn't any easier for me to answer. In fact since Spyderco began using so many different versions with different steels and finishes it keeps getting more difficult to answer. Since there is no K390 Endura yet I won't choose that though that would be a first or second choice. The other one would be a Cruwear Endura which also doesn't exist.

Of the real knives in my collection as we speak I'm going with a Hap 40 Endura.

Joe

I'm with you here Joe. I'd take a Cruwear Endura, but since that doesn't exist and the K390 Endura isn't out yet, I'd go with my S30V Teal Endura.

I'm really hoping DLT does the Purple DLC Cruwear combo in the Endura and other Seki models.

If I had to narrow it down to just one folder I would go with one of my C-44 Dyad models>> because you basically have two blades in one folder. ( one Se & one PE)

If I had to pick a fixed blade it would be my TEMPERANCE 1 model. It's still my favorite Spyderco fixed blade model of all time.

Good luck on the storm and my prayers are with you.

Thank you, we are in the clear down here in the Keys. Was touch and go yesterday but it took a slight East jog running up the coast.

I’ve come to conclude that this question is antithetical to this forum’s purpose.

I suppose I could make an argument for the Siren. But, then, it is my newest shiny thing.

I agree with others who said this is a tough question to answer.

At this time, it would probably be my DLC-coated, G10 Manix 2 in S30V.

It’s really a question I try to avoid considering. :)

Red,
I’m so glad you were able to dodge the bullet with the hurricane this time.

Thank you, lived in the Keys over 20 years now and been through alot of them. Irma was the worst but none of them are fun. I feel blessed to have only been hit really hard that one time.

Quite the contrary to your antithetical comment.

I have spent an hour reading up on SPY27 and several models mentioned here for my next few purchases. I would be inclined to think others also appreciate conversation of favorite models and why they are so appreciated.

With that said, your mention of the Siren is also one I have been wanting for some time!

The Salts are so practical, I absolutely love mine for working around the saltwater. VG-10 did well for me before but the Salts are even better and so easy to touch up!!

Another Endura endorsement! Such a great platform.
