I just got a Spyderench but I am having an issue with the spring detent driver not engaging smoothly and making the tool harder to use. Is there a way to repair or replace this? If not what are users selling for now?

Hi Basic,

welcome to out forum.

I would start by oiling it. They are in n high demand if you are planning on selling it,

Sal, quit propping up the secondary market and just make us more spyderenches!

Whitey, try rotating the driver. The point might stick out better in a different orientation. My wrenches have all been different levels of finicky, but each has had a sweet spot.

I lubricated it and the action is far smoother but I still can't get the driver to index far enough into the other handle to lock.

The set screw for the worm gear was blocking the driver from fully inserting. Seems far better now and ready for some use.

Just send it to me, I'll take care of it ;) :D
