One month carry: which one?

#1

Post by The Meat man »

Title says it all. I want to do a one month exclusive carry but I can't decide which knife to use. Figured I'd ask you all to help me make up my mind. ;)

They're mostly Spydies but I threw in the Manly and CRK just for fun.

if i had to carry only one knife, it would be the pac salt se. be careful though... if you only carry that for a whole month, you may question why you have anything else.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Not a single bad choice there! I voted CRK Seb because it's an absolute classic and will always have a spot in my EDC rotation/ collection

I also chose the Sebenza. We don't see much about them here on the forum, especially with prolonged use. You do such great reviews, I'd be very interested in your analysis after a month of carrying it and see if you feel it justifies that steep price! Make it happen Connor!!

If they ever make one with a thumb hole I'm gonna buy one and beat the ever loving **** out of it. I just can't go back to thumb studs, especially for that price but if they ever come around and put a hole in there I'm all over it.

I agree 100%. I saw a pic of a sebenza with a spydie hole mod the other day. Looked great! It made me wonder why there's never been a collab...didn't Sal say that Chris Reeve was their first distributor in South Africa? So iirc, there's already a history and a relationship there.

The Manix 2 LW Maxamet, of course, because it IS what I carry almost every day of the month. In the evenings and on weekends, other knives find their ways into my pockets. But every morning when it's time to go out and do serious things, it's the gray Spyderco.

I carry something different almost every day. So I won't be offering any suggestions. :)

Probably the Manly, followed by the either the Byrd or the Rescue 3.
