I carried a proto for a while. Roque, our prototype maker made one each for Eric and me. I think it is a special piece created by a special person. It will be regular production and I can guarantee that you will like it.

Good news. This will make a lot of people happy.

I guess this will be pretty thin behind the edge.
That is a compulsory point, otherwise it can't carry BBB on the blade!

At a time when I'm downsizing my collection/selection and try to be somewhat selective with regards to what I keep or replace, it's kind of hard to keep a spot open for a knife I know so little about.

Something tells me it will be worth having...

I will be getting one of these for sure. I’m very happy to hear it’s in cue. I will patiently wait for its release. I have followed BBB for quite sometime and I appreciate his vids and knowledge that I’ve gained in this hobby thanks to him. Thank you Sal, Shawn, and Spyderco team for making this happen.

I'm extremely excited for my friend Shawn to have his own Spyderco brought to market!!
These days I don't buy as many knives as I used to because that budget usually gets re-directed to knife making tools and supplies, but this knife is an exception and a must-have for me. I'll be purchasing this one the moment it drops!

Regular Production, Sal and Eric have been , made in golden with Triple B’s heat treat protocol. Knowing Triple B, I am hoping that it will have extreme geometry enabled by an extreme steel. Perhaps we will see a 15V mule soon.

Big Brown Bear, baby. The model is a live brown bear, that will be big. Hence the wait time in rounding up all these bears in Golden.

Well it’s a Big Brown Bear FOLDER so it’s at least slightly more compact than your usual bear. Spyderco is good with that stuff.
Lightly insane.

Current spydie collection: Watu, Rhino, UKPK Salt G10 bladeswap, Yojimbo 2 Smooth G10 Cru-Wear, Manix lw “mystic” 20cv, SmallFly 2, Waterway, Ladybug k390, Caribbean

Also slightly less expensive to feed.. err, re-sharpen.. and more considerate of space occupancy. Spyderco leading the charge with yet another innovation in folding bea... knives!

I don't even need to see a preview of this one to know it will be my new EDC as soon as they're available. Just knowing it's Shawn's knife is enough for me to want it in my pocket.
