So, the tallying came up quite close again for the top 3.

Please be aware that if steel options are limited, prices change etc, then we may need to repoll, depending on what Sal comes out with.

This may well be the last poll, although who knows? Sal might come back with more options to discuss.

I just wanted to say a really big thank you to everyone who has helped this project along. It has been a huge learning experience for me, and I am grateful to all of the people who have provided a positive push for this project. For some of you that has been providing insight and options. For some of you it has been sending supportive PMs, or making positive comments on the boards. Hopefully it will all amount to producing a great knife.

Let's get this rig rolling.

I suspect it will be close again, but we do need a decider.

Excellent finalists. I chose Bjorkman's Twist, but I'd be nearly as happy with Hakkapella. Bifrost looks a bit too similar to the patterns found on the standard damascus Spydercos to me but I don't dislike it in the least bit. I think the forum narrowed it down to some great choices.

I voted Hakkapella only.

But, only if it's the DC18N and they can match the pattern(or get close) on that straight razor from the other thread.

I voted Bjorkman's Twist for that reason! I doubt they will use DC18N on this budget knife. I would love the Damacore blade though.

I voted Hakkapella again, but I’ll still be interested regardless of what pattern is selected. Very cool project! Thanks again, David, for all your hard work and perseverance on this.

I really like the looks of Hakkapella, but I also really like the fact that it's available in DC18N (Vanax core damasteel).

I'll buy one in whatever comes out, though.

I voted Bjorkmans twist. But would buy another pattern. I agree with fixall that bifrost looks a lot like the Damascus already offered on the Endura/delica.

Amazing.

Hakkapella won the penultimate round by a nose, but BT is absolutely murdering it.

Sorry to say, but this pattern looks very boring. In my opinion. Perfectly symmetric, well elaborated for sure. But you "see everything there is at a glance", if you know what I mean. It's missing variety / diversion.

Here is another Michael Burch knife in Hakkapella DC18N Damacore!

It’s so hard to choose, because we can’t see a prototype UKPK blade in the different patterns. The cleaver pattern folder in BT looks amazing; but the Marttiini looks terribly plain. The kitchen knives in Hakkapella almost like diamond plate. The cleaver in Dazen’s post looks amazing. It’s going to depend so much on the grind. The Bifrost has enough random small pattern that I think it would look interesting no matter the shape or grind.

I took my lumps and chose Bjorkmans Twist. I think it’s has a good chance of providing some wonderful variety and texture in a UKPK blade.

Can’t wait to see how this thing comes together!

Well, i put 7 days on this poll, but the answer seems fairly clear to me.

I will obviously let it run its duration, but I think we are decided on the following:
