PE Delica with integral Zytel (FRN) pocket clip, AUS-8 blade steel. I don’t know which number Delica it would be; maybe now it could be considered a Delica 2. Bought 23 years ago.

Tenacious, then Endura, then delica, it’s a blur after that...

1st generation Delica in SE. Treated it mercilessly on construction sites. It’s teeth are trashed but it’s still going strong and gets pocket time occasionally.

SharpMaker 1st, then shortly after the KnifeCenter exclusive DF2 Hap40 Pakkawood and that led to my descent into madness and decline of my personal economy. I've slowed quite a bit and like others have zeroed in on a particular taste.

Zdp Endura. I first got into knives in the kitchen, and was becoming interested in steel. There were a few gyutos in the 500 dollar range that used ZDP, and the Endura at that time was around $90. Seemed like a good way to try it out. Ultimately it got me into folders, but I ended up selling it a while back. I don’t really remember why.
Current Spyderco: Native 5 LW s35vn; Delica zdp; Caly 3.5 zdp/CF; Chapparel FRN cts xhp; Southard 204p; Kapara s30v; Ikuchi s30v; Spydiechef lc200n, Waterway Lc200n; Manix 2 LW 20cv

Past Spyderco: Endura zdp; Manix 2 LW s110v; Paramilitary 2 s30v

I use translator most of the time.

Aus8 se dragonfly with molded in clip. Got it in the 90s. Great knife, very useful. Never really liked the molded in clip.

My oldest son misplaced it at work, never to be seen again.

I have to go all the way back to the Spring of 1995. There was a big gun show here in the Kansas City, MO area and I usually attended most of those. There were two knife dealers there and I bought folders from both of them that day.

But I also was looking for a premium serrated blade. Two hunting buddies of mine said that if I wanted a good serrated folder with premium quality that Spyderco was thee way to go. I ended up buying a stainless handled, full SE Mariner model with GIN-1 blade steel. The rest is history.

Pacific Salt SE, pre-owned. Still in my collection. I'd like to replace it with an Autonomy 1 some day. FRN is my least favourite handle material, plus the Autonomies are so much more special. They're hard to get here in Europe though...

Black CE Delica 4 in 2007.

It was followed by the Walmart Native in 2009. I only mention this because, while the Native came second, it was more influential to me than the Delica.

Native II AUS-10 ComboEdge Stainless Steel Handle (Seki-City, Japan) which I purchased in August 2000! Still works great!

My second Spyderco was Military CPM-S30V ComboEdge Black G-10 which I purchased in September 2005. Still works great!

Full spyder-edge endura purchased around the mid-90s from a High St camping store in the UK (so probably paid way over the odds for it). That was back in the days of the white boxes (i.e. before the grey-web boxes and then the current red-black-gold boxes), and I thought it was huge at the time. The tip was later lost after I had to hand it over to the guys on the door of a Kazakh night club (who obviously spent the evening playing with it), and I don't remember exactly when and how we eventually parted company.
