"If It Ain't Broke, Then Don't Try To Fix It".
that's a new one for me. i always thought the saying was, "if it ain't broke, fix it until it is."
LOL I’ve shared this story here before so to make it short, that’s what we used to say to people on the old paintball forums who were troubleshooting their equipment for basically no reasons
Yeah I think I've heard every redneck in the state of Missouri quote that great old saying at one time or another. But there is a lot of valid truth to it.

But again why would anyone want to change or alter the grind on the C-60 Ayoob Sprint Run. Because it is one Spyderco design that uses the hollow grind to an optimum level. In other words don't tamper with it unless it would greatly improve it. No need for improvement when it's already a premium design.

I hear you Brother!!! I hear you. My frustration level is also off the charts as well. But please don't get me wrong because I'm not angry or disappointed at all. I'm still jubilant that Spyderco is doing this long overdue C-60 Sprint Run>> but I can also fully understand your boredom, frustration and impatience while waiting for possibly the best Sprint Run we've seen in the past 10 years.

I've got two good friends who are also waiting for this C-60 Sprint Run as well and they persistently ask me at least once a week when this C-60 Sprint Run is going to hit. Both of them have enough cash put back for 2 units each as I do as well. It's comparable to postponing a long overdue vacation or waiting an extra long time for a new movie you've been very much anticipating for so long.

But be patient Brethren because the "Wait Is Going To Be Worth It" I'm certain.

I'm in the same dilemma Brother because there isn't a week that goes by that I hear so many of my blade pals ask me when this great C-60 Sprint Run is going to drop. I wish I knew what to tell everyone>> we are just going to have to be patient.

I went through this exact same scenario when the 204 Sharpmaker first hit the market many years back. It took me over a year to snag my first unit of that great Sharpening kit. In spite of the fact that at least 3 of the knife magazines back then were advertising it way ahead of the time of it's release. A small specialty type company like Spyderco has hurdles to jump over and hoops to go through that many bigger companies don't have.

So let's all take a "chill pill" and patiently wait. Because when it finally hits you'll hear the song "Happy Days Are Here Again" playing in the background I'm certain.

I am taking it lightly. It will come when it will come. I am glad I got the Pacific Salt in H1 - keeps me busy (heavy regrind on the way, I will make a thread about it once I am done) in the mean time :)

This longer than usual waiting period might be a really good thing when it's all said and done. Because it tells me that Sal will not compromise on the quality of his upper tier blade models ( especially the Sprint Runs). As much as I've talked to people about this upcoming Sprint Run I'm certain this run of the C-60 will be gone within two to three weeks or less. I just hope the sales are impressive enough to compel Spyderco to run it as a regular model in the main line up again. Because there are so many newbies that have shown much interest in the C-60 Sprint Run.

I'm sure the extended waiting period will end up being very rewarding to say the least. Hold tight my friend(s). It will be here before we know it.

Yeah I get all of that and to a large degree I even agree that the "Wait Will Be Ultimately Worth It" when it is all said and done. But we're getting close to the summer months already and still no word on the C-60 Sprint Run?????? :thinking

Doesn't the company have any vague information to share with us as to when this new C-60 model will finally be available???

This reminds of me a lot of waiting overnight many years back for the sale of Led Zeppelin tickets on their 1977 tour of North America at St. Louis MO USA. Yeah and getting those tickets for one of the greatest rock concert tours ever was ultimately worth the wait. But it was sure a very long and agonizing 36 hour wait for the ticket booths to open. Yes I still vividly remember that historic Led Zeppelin Tour of the USA and what we all went through to get those tickets in the spring of 1977.

I haven't even heard anything ( not even any rumors) in the past two months and I'm sure hoping that nothing went wrong with this much anticipated C-60 Sprint Run.

Yeah, this is why Spyderco had to stop telling us so much. It results in too much whining and complaining. There is nothing weird at all about how this Ayoob is coming to life. It’s been business as usual as far as I can see.

They already gave us very specific information about this knife!!! They don’t have to be vague anymore. We were lucky they showed us anything about it.

I think I must agree in this case. But giving us a rough idea that it may still take several months before the knife may be ready for shipping would make it easier for all.

Still - showing new/updated models in a catalogue or reveal and not have them delivered to shops 6+ months later is not something I am too fond of. I guess we all are spoiled - I know that I am. And I am fully aware that this is a prime example of a first world problem.

I have a fairly grumpy mood right now, I apologize.

OK JD.

I've got some good news, but....This maker is the original maker, but they are a small shop and cannot make the entire batch all at once. So they come in regular small batches each month. So patience will still be necessary.

You didn't hear it from me. :shush

YES thank you indeed Mr. Glesser for the update and detailed explanation. On this end it's not so much a case of being impatient>> quite the contrary. I think I speak for most of us here when I say that we are just very much looking forward to this new C-60 Ayoob. And I'm sure that with it being made in SE & PE both I have no doubt that it adds to the delay.

Yeah when I finally got those Led Zeppelin tickets nothing else mattered back then either. It was a great concert and this will be one of the very best folders ever when it arrives>> and that I'm completely certain of. GOD Bless the Great Spyder Factory!!!
