i almost always pair my manix 2 lw or yojimbo 2 with my pac salt se.

as far as others go, i typically carry a vic rangergrip and leatherman wave in my bag.

today, i'm carrying my squarehead lw with a kershaw composite dividend.

lately, i've also been carrying a boker plus balisong trainer from bhq. it's the best fidget spinner ever. i've all but stopped fidgeting with my real knives and i'm spending far less time on my phone.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Today I'm carrying my S90V Manix 2 XL and black Pac Salt. I'm doing some yard work and both are good for small limb whacking. Sorry, no time for pics. Your shot makes me want to get out my Calys and clean them up.
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

not the most ergonomic knife i own, but it's really an awesome knife. i enjoy stories and i enjoy functional art. if you watch mr. janich's video on how the yo2 came to be, you'll see that it hits all of those buttons (good story, great for it's intended purpose, and a piece of art). honestly, i don't remember ever seeing the yojimbo until seeing his video and having it click for me. i must have seen it and just overlooked it for some reason, but it's now one of my favorites.

fwiw, i think the manix 2 is probably one of the best pocket knife designs of all time. it fits my hand like a glove, has good thickness while still maintaining a finer tip, has great lines, has a strong lock, and narrows nicely at the opening of the pocket so you can still access the pocket easily.
but i still struggle choosing between the manix and yojimbo every day because the yo2 is just such a cool knife and i slightly prefer the compression lock.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Thanks for the info, looking forward to the Yojimbo 2. Also drawn to it from Michael Janich’s input. Big fan. My Manix 2 is always in the edc rotation. I agree, at least for me its perfect in alot of ways. 👍

Work week carry...the Manix flavor varies week to week.
0D048694-5244-43AF-9F11-8E079C4BE63A.jpeg
On the weekends I generally swap the Manix for a Carothers EDC, a Mule Team or a Street Beat and the Pac Salt usually changes to a black handle, a SE Endura, SE Delica/Salt or my SE Caribbean Leaf. I usually leave the Leatherman at home and carry a Gerber Dime in my bag of the day with one of several bigger lights. But some days all that goes out the window and I grab a random blade just to mix things up or grab a random blade as a third option to go with the fixed and the SE. Variety...yeah!!

Most weeks I pair my M4 jade para3 with the hawkbill df2 and a Mule Team variant.

This has been my regular carry for a year or more and it does not disappoint 😁

My Spyderco pairs nicely with a 2014 Cabernet Franc.

Happen to have two already pretty old pics that fit this thread:

1) In my more "urban" life (so when not in the outdoors) additionally to my Spyderco-of-the-day I almost always have a Leatherman Juice S2 with me (either in a pack or the coin pocket of my jeans). I much prefer the old, discontinued version of the Juice (seen in the pic) over the new one, mainly for the longer blade, but also overall construction
(Outdoors it might be a leatherman Rebar, or if going light the Juice CS4 (for its saw and awl), maybe a fixed blade).

2) Leatherman Micra, nitecore tube and some cheapo prybar/"wrench"-tool almost always on my keychain or car-keys, so with me whenever I leave the house (together with one of my Spydies of course)

Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Wow, that was quick! :)

Curious how you´ll like that little Roadie! I never had one myself, and as far as I can remember from your very first thread here, your smallest Spyderco so far is a Native 5 LW, right?!

Depends on where I go and what I am doing. My favorite place to be is in the bush, swamps, river and creeks. When I am in those places I make sure I always have a my small pack just in case something unexpected happens along with my Spydiechef and Machete. So many people try and bring the modern comforts of home to the bush for a false sense of security when all you really need is knowledge and wisdom to truly be secure. I will take pictures in the coming day’s.

Wise words!! :)
...And also true for the mountains, MY favorite place.. ;)
It also does not hurt to be physically fit to some degree and not easily scared but able to stay calm.
