How is the Yojumbo available in retailers when SFO has not released it yet?

I’m kinda curious about that myself. I still haven’t heard a peep out of Knife Center where I’ve had it in pre order for months. If they just kind of trickle out to various retailers I won’t bother pre ordering anymore and instead just watch alerts and buy from wherever what I’m after pops up first.

from the stock pictures, i was worried about the new finger placements (the yo2 grip is not exactly great in this department, but i deal with it because i love the knife). however, looking at the comparison pics, it looks a lot less problematic than i thought. i still prefer a swell to bumps for ergonomic reasons, but this looks like it may be a win too. i need to see a video of this beast.

I'm curious to find out if it will clip into the watch pocket in my slacks and khakis or if it's too big. I may have to go back to the DeSantis Nemesis single mag pouch for front pocket carry with dress cloths.

But clicking on the link shows pre-order, not sure what's going on there.

Strange timing here. These have already come and gone on Blades Canada, and they usually receive product a few days after the US retailers..

@Liquid Cobra I would be interested to see an in hand pic if you could. Curious where your little finger falls on the grip.

Sweet! I'm off to my usual knife dealers to see who has one in stock. Thanks for the heads up.

That M4 / Ti Yojimbo 2 is AWESOME! Great job putting that together. I think I'll build a Yojimbo 2 like that after I get the Yojumbo. I have an original Yojimbo, a Yojimbo 2 and shortly I'll have a Yojumbo. But that M4 / Ti Yojimbo is one of the nicest ones I've ever seen.

Hi guys I'm new to the forum but wanted to chime in on the Yojumbo. My Yojumbo is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I ordered it from Optics Planet. When I ordered it last week the website said it might not ship for 21 days. To my surprise I got a tracking number three days later. This will be my first Spyderco and it looks like it will be a doozie! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention the price I got it for but I think I got a good deal.

Mine just came in today - outstanding fit, finish and materials. I really like it however it did NOT come shaving sharp out of the box. I was a little surprised and disappointed about that. However, some strop time took care of that.

Mine came today too. Seems rock solid, but the blade isn’t just off center, the blade touches the display side scale. What would you guys recommend? Would you address it with the retailer or Spyderco. I don’t think it’s going to be a matter of tightening or loosening the pivot screws.

First post today. Not sure if this going to end up being a duplicate.

My Yojumbo showed up today as well. Blade is off center enough to be touching the display side scale. Would you guys generally take that issue up with the retailer or Spyderco. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to be resolved tightening or loosening the pivot screws.
