What's Spyderco's Consensus Grail Knife?

#1

Post by marshmallow »

Every forum I read, the desire to obtain Shaman Rex Sprint seems apparent to me that it's the Grail Knife. Thoughts/Counters?

Agree. It wasn't even really a "grail" for me but apparently it was for a lot of people. I really like it now that I have one. I have that one and the 4V, plus a bunch of different knives with REX 45. So I didn't even consider getting the REX 45 Shaman

I don't really know yet my Shaman Rex 45 is already shipped and I will get it in a few days and it's all Sharp Guy's fault :D

I was hoping for a Carbon Fiber Shaman...but I was late to the game just started down this road after Sharp Guy pushed me out in the street. Thanks SG for the push. :D :D :D

The forum’s consensus?

Don’t ask me. I can’t even say which among my accumulated Spydies is my favorite...

If you looked again six months from now at the same sources you're getting that Rex sprint hype from there will be a different model people are lusting over. Knife AFI's are a fickle bunch.

Based on the high drama and revolutionary passions unleashed by the Cruwear Micarta Shaman, I’d have to agree with that assessment, but of course one will never find true consensus on something grounded in subjective preference. Perhaps we can at least say that Spyderco is doing something right!

I missed the CF S90V Shaman, which I was far more interested in than CruCarta Shaman. I also want a Slysz Bowie. There is no consensus.

I don't think I have a grail knife. Or maybe I actually have like 20 of them. ;)

Most people:
Whats a Spyderco?

People who at least know the brand:
Wait arent they all made in Japan?

People who like the brand but get all their info from youtube:
Slysz Bowie

People like us with a problem:
Whatever is not already in the collection.

^^^Lol, spot on!
I’d say the Slysz Bowie, or Spyderfly...maybe the Janisong.

The Crucarta Shaman definitely got its spotlight, however. I’ve had them all, and still have my Cruwear Shaman.
