I just found out that the PD#1 Mules are still available from Spyderco.com directly. $70 for a 3.5" fixed blade that seems to be somewhere between 3V and Cruwear. Another $30 for a sheath and $45 for Halpern scales, and you've got a **** of a knife for $145.00.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
