Here’s some options that spyderco is looking for input on. https://youtu.be/iTVCUPiZeVg

I received my Spalted Maple scales in today. Couldn’t wait to install them but wasn’t able to until the sun went down. So interior photos in my dimly lit room were my only option. Beautiful finish and makes the Watu an absolutely gorgeous knife, even more than it already was. I’ll try to get some pictures in the sunlight when I can. Winter days in Minnesota are fleeting affairs so it may be some time before that happens.

I think my search for the ultimate Smock scales is over. Bocote with the UV finish.

Do you have to disassemble the whole knife to install the scales? How hard is it to recenter the blade?

I just took the scales off one side at a time, didn't even have to remove the liners. Took me all of 10 minutes, and most of that was cleaning and reapplying loctite from/to the screws.

Hey everyone!

My apologies for the long hiatus, I had multiple major life events happen at the end of 2020. Don't worry they were all good!

We welcomed our first born daughter into the world and then we pack up all of our things and moved from Morro Bay to the town of Placerville!

I have my new shop setup and I am in the process of making some new spyderco sets for my Spring release.

This brings me to my next topic, I am changing the way I am taking orders. I will be using an inventory based model where I will release a certain number of scales each month. So be sure to subscribe to the newsletter on my website!

Here is a teaser of what will be in the next release! Gcarta scales for the Watu! Also, Para3 and Smock will be mixed up in it.

I hope the Spidey Fam is doing well. I will be posting more on this forum now that the dust has settled a bit.

Hi Chris,

Congrats on the new one. and the move. New life for sure. The only things that are really new are babies and tomorrow.

I sent an email to you a couple of months ago. I had a request for a larger number of Koa Watu handles from an art shop in Hanalei. If you are interested, please email the minimum quantity and cost?
