What's your favorite Spydie with a wharncliffe blade?

Post by bbturbodad »

What is your favorite Spyderco with a wharncliffe blade? (Can be either currently in production or an older model)

Or...

What model would like to see offered as a Wharnie?

I've always been a fan of wharncliffe and sheepsfoot blades but just recently picked up a FFG SE Delica and absolutely love it! I like the FFG SE so much I bought a Native 5 Salt and while I do like the knife I would love to see it in a wharnie.

I have long wanted to give the SE Sheepfoot Caribbean a try and plan to once the new CQI model starts hitting the shelves.

The Titanium Squarehead is easily my favorite wharncliffe, followed by the McBee!

Also really like the Wharncliffe Delica and Dragonfly, but prefer the Delica over the Dragonfly.

I think a Mantra2 wharnie would be cool with CQI.

I should have added that I have a Hap40 Jazz Delica en route and now you guys have me thinking about a Dragonfly although I should probably hold out the the K390 variant.

True wharnie has to be the Yojimbo 2.

Modified into a wharnie is my Caribbean sheepsfoot.

Honorable mention goes to the Centofante 4.

On my wish list is a SE wharnie Endura and Rock Jumper.
All SE all the time since 2017

I can't wait for the Rockjumper SE. It's got the handle I wish the Delica had.

Ugh, just what I need, a thread about how great wharncliffes are and photos. Never tried one and I don't need a new knife, but the Jazz Delica looks to be an incredibly practical knife.

I would love to see a Smock or Canis style wharncliffe on the Pm2, Para 3 and Military!

search dnt3 on fb or ig. it’s made of copper and it’s awesome.

there’s also a dude called shepherdcc that makes something similar with carbon fiber, micarta, or g10. his are cool too, but this is obviously a little more impactful, if you know what i mean. ;)

The Kiwi, by a mile. I've carried one in my watch pocket nearly every day for the past 17 years. Own a slew of them, both production and custom but these are a few of my favorites (some appear in more than one photo)...

Very much looking forward to the Rockjumper SE.

The Endela should come in wharnie blade shape (and SE) too imho.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
