Behold my long awaited perfect plain edge Spydie

This one is as close to perfection as it gets, at least in my book. Perfect blade lenght for most daily chores if you ask me, great ergos in a neutral handle, wire pocket clip, thin blade stock ground very thin behind the edge( 0.018") . The 20CV steel is just a bonus. Perfect slicing machine. Sal, you did it again. Great job Spyderco :spyder: Enough said.

Gotta say, I absolutely love my Watu as well! Such a beauty! I preordered as soon as I saw it in the catalog. And I haven’t been disappointed one bit.

I wouldn’t call .018 very thin... maybe .002 thinner than other spydies, so maybe thinner but... it’d be a lot cooler at .015 or thinner :D

It would be fair to say that it’s thinner behind the edge than “most” not “other” spydies. Most are ground > 0.022 bte. My Delicas are > 0.024 ... it’s crazy, I know but...So yes, I would say that everything under 0.020 is “very thin” bte and maybe everything under 0.015 is ... “crazy thin” 😬
