I love the polished G-10 and the thick liner lock. The Mini has better handle contouring. What ruins them both for me is the Spydie hump. Take that away and those knives become beautiful.
Yup.

So, I thought the Vallotton was discontinued but I see it in the catalogue?

I hate to say it, because I'd rather have a nice stainless, but 4V makes a lot of sense for a Vallotton...

Vallotton Vivacious(Vivacity?) in Ivory micarta...

There are even four Vs in there!

I think it is the perfect name for a sleek and sexy auto, with a hidden switch.

Vivacious: (especially of a woman) attractively lively and animated.

It's just too perfect.

The Vallotton is a great design. I would love to see a white polished g10 or something similar/better as long as it looks great and keeps price about where it is now. :spyder:

I understand Eric has a Vallotton planned.

That's great news!
Wish you'd consider a Wayne Goddard "homage sprint" as well, although i fully understand and know that your/Spyderco's plate is always pretty full.

It doesn't bother me on the full size model, but i have always thought the li'l one look wonky..

Since you mentioned it, the Mini also has an aesthetic problem with an abrupt drop in the spine. I had one that I reprofiled into a smoother arc.

I was wondering the same thing when I was flipping thru my catalog the other day.

I never knew of the original Vallotton being discontinued.

Gotta keep this one on the front page...

Vallotton Vivacious, Veiled Automatic, in 4V...

Hehe. I can dream, can't I?

My only request is make it less thick than the SubHilt. Don't get me wrong, it felt great. But wow, it was heavy.

Or... Titanium liners and bolsters. Keep the comfort, with a bit less weight.

(I wonder what it will actually looks like, haha)

I was going to say maybe it will be in the proto case at BladeShow, but then I wondered if Spyderco was going to be there at the rescheduled time.

Hmmm....
