SE Pacific Salt. None of the Pacific Salt 2 nonsense. The first iteration is the last hurrah of the old school Endura 1 - 3 family and it should have remained, dagnabit! Oh well, at least I have two of them.

I have cut a lot of sea turtles loose from fishing line, and braided line, and all sorts else. The atlantic salt really is the best option for that. Problem is the pacific salt is better at being a general purpose knife.

Honest advice, get both.

With all of this said this is an excellent reason to bring back the CASPIAN SALT. Spyderco needs to re-think that one. Because they got that model right to begin with. And it would be an excellent fixed blade knife for all kinds of marine type conditions>> and harsh conditions as well.

LOL, that's probably what will happen. I like the look of the Tasman, too. Must. Stop. Buying. Knives

you’re in the wrong place then.

questions: why don’t you just use your scissor hands instead of a knife? what kind of ergonomic considerations do you have for handling a pocket knife with scissors? ;)
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

I have a Salt 1. The lanyard hole is too small to get standard paracord through easily! Tactical mistake!

The Pacific Salt is perhaps the best all-around folder of its size for a true user knife. Lightweight, rustproof, thin, and in serrated it will cut through just about anything. And stays useable sharp for a very long time. Hard to beat.

Agree. And the Salt 2 for the smaller size.
For me, these knives are the Spydercos.

yes. spyderco has done a lot to advance the knife world, but making rustproof knives that are reasonably capable in edc applications is what really sets them apart for me. the pacific salt is what brought me back to spyderco after decades of using and carrying other brands. i have quite a few more now, but the pac salt is almost always on me.

Haha, that is a good point. Who needs knives when ya got scissors? :p
