Can We Get A Fluted CF Military?

#1

Post by senorsquare »

Here's my new Spyderco dream knife: Fluted CF Military. They did it with the Native, I don't see why they cant do it with the Military. The fluted Ti Millie is one of the nicest Spydies I've handled and a fluted CF version would be an amazingly awesome knife. Let's even do two versions, say one with fluted Ti lock side/CF show side and behind door number 2 we have a fluted CF each side and maybe a compression lock. Throw in some sprint worthy steels like S90V, Cruwear, K390 and these would sell out so fast it would make your head spin.

I really like the fluted ti locbar/fluted cf show side idea.

Sounds like a real winner.

I’d go for fluted CF on both sides with a liner lock too. It would be a beautiful piece.

I'd say LC200N, but S90V would be more likely.

YES! S90V, 4V or K390... I'm not a huge Millie fan but I'd be all over this in a second. My lone Millie in Rex45 needs a buddy to hang out with.

My dream knife is a Caribbean with solid Ti integral comp, contoured and machined with the grip pattern of the original.

I would be in on one for sure. I also think this would be phenomenal treatment for the manix backlock. And I honestly can’t believe we haven’t seen one of the paras done up yet. Both Ti and/or cf would suit me just fine for any model. Maybe one could be the 45th anniversary knife?

I think the fluted CF Military would be a great looking knife. The only problem I see with it would be the price. It would be expensive.

It would be hecking expensive! More so in Europe, when the plain Jane S30V sell for like 190-220 €....

Native5 S90V with Fluted CF is $252 so a Military S90V with Fluted CF will probably be about $290.

I would highly prefer fluted CF on both sides. I have nothing against Ti most of the time but I have no interest in a frame lock Military, for me it ruins the weight balance and I just can't adjust to it on this knife. Maybe of the Ti was also fluted to match you'd get my attention, sort of like Strider and ZT have done with their frame lock grip patterns in the past. Even besides the weight thing I really dislike the grippy scale on one side and boring smooth slab of Ti on the other side, but if both sides were fluted to match I might be able to live with the extra weight.
