I just got back from a Sunday afternoon visit, at my Grandmother's house, and am concerned over some mail that I had received at that old address. First item was a letter from JCPenney in regards to my supposed credit card application(which I have absolutely no idea about), and I also have two separate bills from Verizon, which I have NEVER had any service with in any way, that add up to about $1100!!
As you could imagine, I'm pretty P.O.'d about this and was hoping that I could get some advice from you guys in how I could go about finding out what the heck is going on. Any help/info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Need help!!! Possible identity theft
Sorry to hear about that.My aunt just found out that her ex son in law looked in her purse and got her DL # and got a cell phone.ATT says she owes them almost 2000.00.Its been about a month and she still han't got it straightened out.She would have never known except for going to get a cell phone and they turned her down because of it.She bought a new car a few weeks before and they said nothing to her about it being on her credit.

Dude ~ Sorry to hear about what you have gone through.. It appears to me that you have been scammed by the bad guys. To protect yourself, lodge a police report, get an attorney (we call them lawyers) to assist you on the legalities in this issue.. These are the best people to advise you on how to overcome the matter on a step-by-step basis.. So, in short, PROTECT yourself and excercise your rights.. Hope this helps..

One bit of advice to anyone reading: If your DL has your Social Security number on it, get it the heck off NOW. If a thief has an SSN to work with, they can completely duplicate your ID, including opening new credit cards and bank accounts in your name. Mine came off about 3 months after Ohio said they weren't required, now I don't have an SSN anywhere on me.
By the time you read this, you'll have already read it.

Thanks for the help, you guys. I knew that you wouldn't let me down. Don't have much time right now, but police report is done and the ball is a rollin'.

I memorized my SIN(canadian version of SSN) about a week after I got my card. Now it's locked in the box with my knives(and cards I don't use).
gun con·trol n. definition 1. The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker received that fatal bullet wound. 2. The ability to hit what you are aiming at. 3. The first key step of a corrupt political agenda where good citizens are disarmed so that a dictatorship may replace a democracy in the future.
