Does anyone have one? I just saw it for the first time! It's the Opinel No 13 of the Spyderco Universe!

I'm pretty sure Darby (bearfacedkiller) has, or has had one.

I was an early adopter, chiefly for the lock. Biggest hunk of beautifully-swedged and -hollowed VG10 I've ever seen. Don't carry it, though.

Overall, I like the blade design. Too bad it is not a full tang fixed blade with macarta grips.

It's a beautiful Knife. I love the big beasts. They have a character all their own! It actually makes the Military look like a subcompact!! 😂

I kept putting it off until all of a sudden they were gone for good. Kick myself for it.

Oh man, that beast makes the Military look small! So what's the difference btw a powerlock and a backlock?

Also a titanium handled version with a full height flat ground LC200N blade would be the most epic Spyderco ever. Spyderco could rename it Godzilla.

Another great knife that was ruined by the completely unnecessary finger choil. It makes the blade and grip each 2 inches longer than they need to be. what a shame.

Looking forward to the Yojumbo

Thanx for the pics Reject.

Hi Julia,

The Powerlock was invented by Kimiuki Sakai in Seki City, Japan. The main difference between the back-lock and the Powerlock is the extra part in the lock bar. It creates a wedge effect. Quite strong. There are probably a few drawings around of the lock.

I designed the knife because we had a few customers that felt we needed a mega knife somewhere in the line, just to see if we could. There are a few out there that really like very large folders. The grind line goes through the center so it has a strong point. 'Tis a beast, really.

I've held one and it's most definitely on my list of knives to acquire, here's a pic I came across of the powerlock...

Got one in the collection safe . It’s well balanced , well made with nice blade shape. It’s amazes me that it fits well kinda bulging fit in the standard spider box, looking at it open you thing it’s would just about fit in a shotgun case ,slip😬 Goes well with bug , two extreames rest of collection fits in the middle, it really does feel balanced nice when open in hand. I have one as well. Played around with it for the first time at The Edge knife store in Tokyo. They had it and a Kopa i was missing at the time. Had to choose one and chose the Kopa. Bought the Tatanka later in a private sale LNIB. Great knife!
