I couldn't resist and picked one of these up this week.

This may be the knife that converts me to carrying a comp lock. I really, really like the design. I'd love to see it sprinted eventually.

I also have to say that I'd love to see David Mary's proposed design (CBBL with Canis-like features and different blade angle). I'm really appreciating the general utility of this (supposedly SD oriented) knife. It reminds me of the Yojimbo in that, but even more so.

Definitely a home run for Spyderco. I love it.

For the anal retentive, does this model have any side to side play than cannot be tightened out like some other models on bushing systems? It can often be felt easily with the lock disengaged. Thank you.

No side play - I just tightened the pivot and lubed it and it still drops closed easily. Great knife.Very pleased with it.

I wonder if Sal could let us know if the Canis is going to be sprinted anytime soon? Definitely interested in getting one of these soon, but if there's going to be a sprint in a better steel someday, I'll just wait for that.

i'm sure he'd like to sell the ones he's made before telling people to hold out for one in the future.
