OT: What do you think?
OT: What do you think?
Sorry I have to ask this here. I can't post on BF because they won't except my hotmail account. So I ask here fellow forumites.
What would you pick out of the following.
The Tops Tom Brown Tracker or the Cuda Maxx Bowie. I am interested in these two blades, obviously for different reasons. So if you have one or the other or both why do you like it and if you were given a choice what would you pick?
Thanks and sorry again for posting this heathen non Spydie trash here. Take Care!!

I'd pick the Tracker because:
--It appears to be a very functional and versatile blade.
--Plus, it just looks awesome.

I just got a Cuda Maxx. It's awsome. Like a CS Vaquaro Grande, only higher quality. It's thinner than I expected, has a nice weight(not heavy, but good heft),D2 steel, frame lock, and the bottom quillion lets you open it Carson flipper-style. I impulse bought it off eBay just for my collection, but I think it would make a great field folder.
The Tracker is that bowie-meets-kukri fixed blade from that movie, right? I'm not real into fixed blades(only have a Temperance,CS Desperado, and India kukri),so I personally would go w/the folder.

The point was brought up about fixed blades vs. folders.
I think, for a field-use knife, the fixed blade wins because of it's strength and length.
For every day carry, the folder is usually more convenient, concealable, and useful.
Just my take on things.

CKE...This is way off-topic, but have you thought about opening a Yahoo email account and trying to register at BF with that one? I'm not positive, but I think that BF does accept Yahoo email users.

T.O.P.S and CAMILLUS? Oh man! I guess I'll pick none of them.. The tracker looked really cooled and much hyped after 'The Hunted' but I don't think its really functional in Malaysia's thick undergrowth, hot and humid conditions.. And I certainly don't need a large folder like the CUDA Maxx..

CKE :
It would depend on what upon certain
factor(s) :
* Does Canada allow the carry of fixed blades? If so, then the Tracker might be
worth consideration.
However...
* If FB's were a no-no in certain parts of
Canada, and/or concealed carry were a
consideration, then the Cuda Maxx Bowie.
BOTH excellent knives, in my opine.

Sorry again about the OT post. Glockman thanks for the heads up about the yahoo account, tried three times with my hotmail and kept getting rejected. With so many people on hotmail just makes me wonder why they won't accept it.
Thanks for all the opinions folks. Allen> no fixed blade restraints just can't have it concealed. Thanks again all!

Many forums ban the aol domain for the same reason.

It's a very difficult question, at least to me. If I were to choose between those beauties... I think I'd go for the Tracker mostly because it featured in that movie. I got myself a Rambo II knife (a clone, in fact) for the same reason. It finally proved to be a useful knife for outdoors, it took a lot of abuse.
