Is no one going to talk about what a deal the Yojumbo is?

$165 for a 4 inch beast of a knife?

I hope the grooves match my hand!

I have a couple of Michael Janich's self defense DVDs and I do believe in his work. I may be picking one Yojumbo up for each front pocket.

100% in for one. It looks amazing. The Yojimbo handle was slightly on the small side for me

Received my first ever Yojimbo 2 yesterday. I'm definitely interested in this. Looks like the Yojumbo will have full contact on the spydie hole.

I have been putting off a yojimbo for over a year hoping they would do a larger version. I am happy I waited. Im getting one. And yes the price is amazing for what you get.

Also even though it cost more, since I dont have a yojimbo 2 I feel like I can justify getting a canis. Im interested in that one even though it seems like it competes directly with the yojimbo 2.

They mention coarse G-10 in the product description. I might just have to get one... Or two. Imagine a 5.5 inch one... Haha.

Definitely grabbing one. Been waiting for this for years. If they make an S90V/CF one I'll grab that too

If they make an S90V/CF, and I get one, I may pass out!

Yeah this looks like a winner. Hopefully the tip is a little stronger than the Yojimbo.

I'm hoping the size and geometry is such that the comp lock doesn't pinch my finger like it does on the Yojimo. Don't know why it does this on the Yojimbo but not other CL models but it bites me frequently enough that a rarely carry it.
Tip strength is a concern too. Don't really want to give up the cutting efficiency of the thin hollow grind though.

I have two Yojimbo sprints, I prefer the larger size of this one, but will wait for a sprint.

Amazingly pleased about this design, but s30v is going to make me wait.

Just tape a couple of pillows to your head. You'll be fine when you wake up. Let's just cross our fingers on the S90V /CF sprint. I need it to complete my set. Gotta grab that S90V /CF chief too.

i was really excited to hear about the possibility of this one originally, but this is disappointing. the yo2 seems to pretty much disappear into my hand. the yojumbo doesn’t look like it will do the same. granted, i’ve never touched the knife, so some of these may be proved wrong once these start finding their way into hands.

reasons i’m underwhelmed by this design:
base of the blade in the compression lock cavity. i’m not sure why spyderco keeps choosing to do this. it makes the design seem unfinished or not well thought out.
finger grooves look even more uncomfortable. why does this knife need these? if you really need a finger grooves, go back to something like the manix, where the first section is plenty big for just about any index finger and the next section just has a swell. it’s a far more universal design. i can’t see how my fingers would be comfortable on this knife with these deep grooves and pronounced bumps with spacing that appears to be very unnatural.
it looks like the bump over the spydie hole is right where your thumb is supposed to lay flat for the proper grip.

i hope i’m wrong about the ergonomic issues, but the base of the blade in the compression lock cavity is a deal breaker for me. it’s also one of the reasons i’ll never own a shaman. either way, i’ll stick with my yo2.

I've got big hands and like big knives too. Really interested to see how this one feels in my hands.

The ergos look better on this one than the Yo2. To me anyway..
