Going to the SpyOpera.

Who's going with me?

Looks like competition for the Baby Horn. Definitely excited to see this one!

The Swayback may take a "back" seat to this one. :p

I really like the looks of this knife! Great compact size, neutral grip (reminds me of a scaled-down ESEE HM handle, which I love), and awesome materials. If for no other reason, I want one just to support spyderco releasing more models with micarta scales. It'd also be my first Italian-made spyderco.

I’m really interested.. but can anyone explain who’s going to be manufacturing it? Spyderco or lionsteel? I’m particularly interested in who’s heat treating the blade...

I really like this one already! It has a lot going for it, but being another collaboration with Lionsteel is what has me most excited about it. I'm excited to see how the crowned spine and backlock look too.

Good point. I imagine that LionSteel is doing everything including heat treat. The knife is made in Italy and the steel used is from Austria.

Hmm, that does cause a bit of concern. I just assumed Taichung. I didn't read the info, just jumped to the specs. It caught my eye.

If they get this right, it is going to be wicked!

Very curious about the price here!! After my low quality Urban AEB-L out of Italy, I'm SLIGHTLY hesitant.

I really like the look of this one but the quality is going to need to be a lot better than the two Lionsteel Operas I have or I’m not biting.

Just saw this. Its everything I want in a knife. I've literally been looking for a Spydie that has as many of these characteristics as possible. Anyone have any idea what the price will be? Or how many they will be making?

Absolutely no issues with either of my Lil Lionspy's, the second collaboration between Spyderco and LionSTEEL. Fit and finish was great on both of my examples, so personally, I'm not even slightly concerned about quality control with the SpyOpera.

I love this design but m390 from lionsteel could be a dealbreaker for me. Maybe I’ll wait for some folks I trust to get their hands on one and give opinions.

Yup, definitely a Lionsteel collab. I have mixed feelings about some of their products but that is just a matter of taste. While my Lionspy is a sharpened pry bat it is also a well made knife.

I once complained on here about the terrible geometry on my Lionspy and later that day took it out to admire since I had been discussing it earlier that day. I proceeded to give myself my worst Spyder bite so I guess it wasn’t as bad of a cutter as I thought. :)

Did Lionsteel make the Pattada? Mine is very nice.

MSRP is $250, so expect street price at $175 with MAP (editted with updated MAP discount)
And - looks like regular production - so hopefully they will keep making lots :D

I wish it was a little slimmer stock than 3mm, but loving the looks of this guy!

Also I could be mistaken, buy isn't MAP 70% now? Making street price of $175?

I would so be into this but for one glaring fault, no left hand option! It's especially annoying that for some reason the Swayback being an obvious right hand design in every way has a left hand option. But a unique small lockback isn't? I don't get it at all.

That's kinda what I'm curious/worried about too. Hasn't Lionsteel released some "very" soft M390 on some of their slippies/traditionals? The SpyOpera is definitely a good looking knife to my eye, but the heat treat on that M390...
I'd take low sixties over mid fifties, for the win.

One of the few in the reveal that doesn't seem vastly overpriced  . Had some major sticker shock seeing the KnifeCenter preorder list. Knocked just about everyone one out of my "must have" list.
