Swayback Lookout Thread

I know a lot of us have been anticipating the Slysz Swayback for a long time. If you see them dropping somewhere please give us a heads up here

Looking at the specs the Swayback's bigger than I thought it would be. Kind of disappointed it doesn't have the 3" blade that I envisioned. Oh well! I'm still in

I can't help wishing the blade stock was thinner too...3.5 mm on a narrow hollow ground blade seems just a tad thick.

It's a beautiful knife though!!

Yeah I thought the same. I envision a sway back knife as being fairly small and thin.

Also disappointed it doesn't use the wire clip. That really surprises me! All the other Slysz designs use the wire clip. I typically don't have an issue with the hourglass clips but I think it ruins the elegance of the design on this one. Scratching my head on that decision

I agree, wire clip is a must on this style knife. HUGE mistake, i wonder if it's early enough to be changed?

It took it out of my "must haves" and went into my "right price".

I like the spoon clip on most knives, but not Ti slab.

Blade too thick snd too long. Clip doesn’t suit it, neither.
Big letdown based on current specs, but am sure will sell out in minutes.

I prefer the spoon clip but the drilling this one for left and right hand carry was a mistake. ZT has already screwed up some otherwise nice looking designs doing this, sad to see it here.

I'm with you, I'm not seeing the appeal on this one. It's been talked about for a long time, so I'm excited for those that have been hoping for this knife. To me, it's not this amazing knife I was expecting. Actually, quite bland and as previously stated (thick and wrong clip) Will report back if I see any available in the wild though!

I like the length and the thickness is an easy fix, but the clip...

IT MUST BE CHANGED!!!

I love this design and the specs of this model. I don’t think it was designed to be a “bottom of the pocket” swayback like others on the market. It would be nice to see a Lil Swayback in the future, maybe clip less, thinner and a slip joint.

Don't get your hopes up on a change like that at this point

Yeah, I just saw the price. Also there were like 4 wharncliffes in this reveal. I might hold off on this one until I can use some reward points or something.

I agree, the hourglass clip kills it for me. And I typically will take them over the wire clips most of the time.

Yeah I already knew what it would be based on MSRP. I've waited too long for this one not to give ago. It'll be my first Slysz design. I never bought a Slysz Bowie or a Chef. So I figure it's time to see what all the fuss is about. If I don't like it I can always hang onto it for a few years and wait until the price goes sky high lol

Yeah it's definitely an investment that always pays off. I still kick myself for never picking up a Bowie when they were still available

Seriously, I still regret not buying a Slysz Bowie every time I see one! Especially now, when you see people asking $500+ for them, they're just too out of reach now. I don't want to make that mistake with this one too. I don't plan to preorder it, but this one is definitely on my short list!
