The price, size, not clip bothers me. I’m very excited for this release. A lynch clip will work nicely so I’m glad I have the option here.

The extra holes for lefties does bug me though.
As a lefty I would normally obviously appreciate the extra holes, I noted in a another thread it made no sense on the spy opera not to have it. But on this knife it does not appear to be lefty friendly due to the overall design so no need for the ambi clip. Usually spyderco is a very left friendly company but this latest drop has a couple head scratchers.
I really do not like them. It's clearly not a lefty friendly knife and it would have been so much better looking to let the few lefties who want it to just put a flat there so they can drill and tap the holes themselves (or offer it as a free service if you send it in).

I keep coming back to this knife, it's so pretty...

...then I see the clip.

How could someone have signed off on that?!?!

It truly baffles me.

Here’s a Techno 2 (the most recent Slysz model released) with a stonewashed Nirvana clip:

The choice of the satin one baffles me a bit given they have clips in a matching finish (and so might the SFO BTW ;)). I appreciate the reasoning on choosing the 3-hole clip over the wire clip this time to better match Slysz’s prototype, but in pics I’ve seen of it, it likewise has a stonewashed clip... The clip holes drilled on the presentation side do bug me a bit too but I’ll get over it :D. Cheers, Radioactive

Definitely looks better with the blasted clip. Any word on washers vs. bearings?

Looking at the specs the Swayback's bigger than I thought it would be. Kind of disappointed it doesn't have the 3" blade that I envisioned. Oh well! I'm still in
I was thinking the same. Gonna chop mine to make it happen.

Can't wait to see your chop - the larger blade has me waiting for reviews etc., but ending up as a commission heading your way is a very tempting option as well :D

I’m going to Blade Show in August. Looking forward to stopping by the Spyderco booth to get the Swaysback in my hand. That’ll be the deciding factor for me.

Several years back, I got Marcin Slysz to show me the proto for the Techno 2 in person. He is a super nice guy. I have all his designs so far and sure I’ll end up with this one.

Back up again at KnifeWorks. States shipping on Tuesday, so they most likely have confirmation of a shipment coming in the next couple days.

Can confirm still in stock at Knifeworks. Placed my order about 10 minutes ago and my payment just went through.
