He-Man Military Lover's Club - Enlist Here

#1

Post by blues »

Be proud! Be loud!

Taking a cue from my heroes Spanky and Alfalfa, thought it time to raise our collective voices (once again) and beg, demand, cajole and wheedle the powers that be until there is light at the end of the tunnel. Except we will happily allow women into the club should they deign to be seen with us.

Personally, I'd like to see one or more in 4V so I can add it to the group and check out the hoopla for myself, but I'd happily embrace others as well.
(3V, 10V, K390, and other high end steels always welcome...)

A strong Military presence. It's the patriotic thing to do.

Let 'em hear from us. If we grow our numbers, our collective strength will carry the day.

I think we will eventually see a St Nick's 4V Military, but it could be years away depending on the order they work through the rest of the Golden (and potentially Seki FRN) lineup.

I'd love to see Spyderco do a 3V sprint series in a new color for 2021. 3V-carta where possible, and G10 and FRN where Micarta isn't possible. A 3V Military would be awesome!

Still also holding out hope for a Cruwear Military. There was one years ago pre-CQI, but I'd like a CQI version, preferably DLC.

4V, K390, LC200N, Maxamet, etc.

I’d love to see a fully serrated LC200N Mili.

Oooh yeah. I always said an H1 SE Military Salt would be awesome! FFG SE LC200N would be amazing as well!

Thanks for enlisting, gents. Now we must recruit far and wide. Consider it an essential service.

Sprint run? Yes, I would buy it, if my go to shops have it.
Exclusive, nope, no steel is worth extra shipping, extra faxes to get it to Europe.

If BBS does a Military in K390 & Ranger Green, even if it's not a Compression Lock Military 2, I'll probably have to buy one.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Like most other models it depends on the steel and scale combo. I already have some of the best versions of the Military and I really don't use them anymore, but the right combo will get my wallet talking.

Sign me up! I want an AEB-L more so than anything, but I would love a Maxamet. And having carried the new diamond arc scales the past two days, I really hope we get to see that on a Military too. I would also pony up for lc200n.

I'm definitely in for one in K390, 4V, 3V, CruWear, LC200N, Maxamet, heck any high-end steel Mili I'm down. I'd love to see KnifeCenter do an exclusive in CruWear with smooth black G10. I'd buy 2 or 3 in that combo. I'd love for BBS to do a Smurf blue m390 (although they did that s90v in that color already) or a ranger green in K390 (this is my real vote from them).

I just need that one special millie. My pre-cqi cruwear version is quite satisfactory. I’d try for a SNK 4V version. I’d dig K390. I’d be good with M4! I love the green scales from the CTS-204P knives. I like the peel of CF. Nothing smooth please.

Those of you with the 52100 steel, how are those holding up? Did it meet your expectations?

Congrats to everyone that got one. So glad I grabbed the 10v. I'd jump on the Millie though...
Sounds like abbazaba’s in too for a 4v millie!

I'm not sure if you're referring to specifically the Military 52100, or the steel in general, but a couple weeks ago I did a little write up of the DLC 52100 Manix after a week of pretty good use, here... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=86207&start=20

I've got a military in S110V. Love it. Had a special sheath made for it that opens the knife on the draw.

I'd like to see Spyderco compete with Hinderer and Cold Steel in the big folder arena. Maybe I don't understand the Spyderco Philosophy, but I'd like to see a large folder with a conventional blade, around the size of the XM-24, that uses some of these high end steels that Spyderco uses.

Yea, I'd have less money, but I'd have more knives!
