I see this is now available at BBS. HOLY (stuff that comes out of) COW!!! ... I've argued favorably for them in the past but I am now finding that impossible...!

CG
$349.95

I've been considering some of their knives knowing that their prices are higher than they should be, but that s45vn price is a **** move to buyers. Apparently I'm not their customer base...

Stupid REC website. I’m trying to use my phone and their subscribe to news letter was covering everything and I couldn’t close it.

And how fast do you have to be... I couldn’t even get logged in before they were gone. I’m starting to like dealer exclusives better. I always figured Sprints would be easier.

Have had way better luck with dealer exclusives. Almost always set a time and date and they're all sold from one place instead of 10ea at 100 different stores

When I got lucky with the Rex45 PM2 back in the day I emailed Knifesplus and they told me I got the only one they got

Depends on the exclusive/sprint as always. My guess is there were only a couple that were relisted from when they had them yesterday, maybe from cancelled multiple orders.

Got mine yesterday, and the new texture on the g10 feels excellent in the light use I've given it so far. I will say, though, it does snag coming out of my pocket where the clip hits the scale. Adding a smooth oval section at that point (like on the seki frn models) would surely solve that issue. It could look nice, too, with a spydie logo or something there, although I have no sense of how complicated that'd be to accomplish with g10.

Edit: Forgot to mention earlier: mine did come with paperwork...for the rex45 sprints! :p I'll give spyderco a call to replace it.

Does anyone know off the top of their head if there are any more of these pending this week? I was unplugged from the world for several days and am combing the thread...

DLT and KnivesPlus off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others.

So I was able to get my hands on one of these, but unfortunately the action is incredibly stiff. My other standard PM2 drops open and has no blade play. This new one on the other hand, if I tighten the pivot screws enough to get rid of blade play, is stiff as all get out. There is no happy medium. If I look closely at the bronze bushings I can see that they are not seated flat. Light comes through one side and not the other. I tried oiling, loosening backstop screws, and cycling hundreds of times. No improvement. Its really quite disappointing. I'd rather just use my old PM2. Contemplating returning this new one. Also paid way too much for it.

Generally I have found the 3 tapped holes in the liner where the clip screws into have burrs on the back side. I take my PM2’s apart and deburr these 3 tapped holes on each liner where the bronze washer sets. It generally fixes blade centering and action every time. Just my thoughts..
