The saber grind makes sense on a waved knife. I have waved both a FFG Endura and a HSG Pacific Salt. The heavier blade of the Salt (due to the grind) makes waving to full lockup much easier than the significantly lighter E4. I really have to wave the Endura with speed to get it to lock open on the draw.

I also waved a wharnie Delica. That was a mistake. Nowhere near enough blade mass was left to complete the opening. Live and learn. Guess I was was channeling the late Matt Freeman, RIP.
