I've no hard feelings. I was purchasing to check out the steel. I've got enough PM2s. It's the Military that I'm more interested in.

Not a nice and easy check out!

Ordered and in my cart, literally punching in CC info and sent; informed that item was sold out. Pathetic. Lost a customer for good.

I'd think they didn't load in all their inventory. Sold out too fast.

Those who care should probably keep trying.

Wow those went quick 😳

First time I’ve tried to buy one at release and I was lucky enough to get one.

Gone in 1 minute 40 seconds!
On my end it was gone in about 40 seconds. I was on it right as my computer said 3:00, in fact the website didn't show them as available until about 10 seconds after my computer turned 3:00. All of my information was already in, just had to type the credit card number and I had it ready. Website told me to wait a few seconds in line to check out. I was typing fast and hit "buy" and it said sold out before my computer hit 3:01.

I don't know how so many people are so fast, within 5 seconds of the website saying they were available the available number was in the 900s, 45 sec. later and none.

Reminds me of Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie "The Quick and the Dead" when he said "wow that was fast", we were both fast but also as in the movie neither he nor I were quite fast enough.

I refreshed at exactly 1500 (per Apple's servers) and it was not available. Refreshed within a second or two, added to cart, put in my info, and completed checkout at 1500:00:55. Then watched the count tick down to 0 available. No delays, stalls, whirling beach balls, clocks, or whatever. Their website handled the load beautifully. My condolences to those who missed out.

I do wish we would see additional runs of the in-demand exclusives!

That was my first impression with the Manix 2 and similarly today with the PM2 but when I put one in my cart the website said there 900+ available.

They make a lot of money on these, a whole lot. The joke's on them though, they could have ordered more and doubled their money. They could still order again, I've seen retailers order up again after the first batch sells out.

Had it in my car in the first 5 seconds and lost it during checkout while it says I was in line?? Makes me very suspicious of the sellers "system"
I'm just about done chasing these exclusives at certain sellers.

The retailer did all they could do, short of ordering a bigger batch. They may catch on and order more next time. I'm surprised there was that much immediate demand for the Manix2 version but the PM2 has always sold like magic and apparently still does.

We don't see additional runs often enough! Knifecenter, Knifeworks, Cutlery Shoppe, and DLT have, but everyone else seems to move on to something else.

The key is to have your CC info saved in your browser. That way you don't have to enter any info but the security code. I was logged into my SNK account before 3:00 and hitting CTRL-R to refresh the screen to see exactly when they dropped.

They ordered 1200 pcs for this one and it still sold out faster than the 500 pc Manix run

You're giving away trade secrets ;)

but yeah this is correct, create an account with the retailer ahead of time so your shipping/billing info is all saved, save CC in your browser. It takes 3 clicks to checkout. There were still 600+ available when I got my confirmation email.

St. Nick's should know better by now on what sells and what doesn't. They should have ordered more.

They are pissing some customers off.

I for one will still go after their exclusives even though I never scored on any of them. But until they order more, I will not buy any other knives from them.

1200 pieces is a pretty good chunk of change to have tied up. Yeah, they will sell for a profit, but in the meantime cash flow could be a problem. Several advantages of additional runs is you don't have so much cash up front at once, you can satisfy your customers, and perhaps discourage the **** flippers on the bay!

Agian, they ordered 1200 pieces for this run. What they're learning is...regardless of how many they order, there'll always be someone complaining because they missed out.
