Movie knives.....no not that kind

Post by VashHash »

So I got this idea from another forum.

The basis is something pretty common I'm sure.

So I'm watching crouching tiger hidden dragon and I can't help but reach for my Darn Dao. What movies make you want to grab certain knives? Mainly which spyderco knife. But I'm not opposed to other brands being mentioned. Pictures of course are very welcome. I have a feeling a lot of us are watching more movies /tv than usual.

Watching The Client makes me want to grab my SE SS Police. I know the SE SS Police was seen in a TON of movies I won’t bother mentioning, but every time I watch The Client, I grab my Police. It’s weird, I know, because the Police is the bad guy’s knife. I think it’s just the fact that it’s in the movie, and it’s one of my all-time favorite crime dramas.

Maybe its just me, but I said a while back that the province looks futuristic. Like it should be in Blade Runner or some other sci fi movie.

I honestly can't say I've ever played around with a knife while watching tv or a movie

I'm busy paying attention to what I'm watching, rather than fidgeting around and making sure I'm not cutting myself! Or, because either the wife, kid, or dog is usually leaning against me or on me haha.

I don't actually sit and play with, or even reach for any knife either, but there's no denying "Training day" triggers thoughts of the Police SS
"Hannibal" - Harpy etc.

Most of the times I'm watching Netflix with my wife I open and close one of my mostly carried knives - Salt 2 or Dragonfly - with my left hand. My wife sits on my right and I train my left hand dexterity.

So, in "The Walking Dead"

There's a scene when they are on a farm. A character playing the role of Laurie has as spyderco endura clipped on their pants pocket. I about lost my mind when i saw it. They have it clipped all wrong, it's clearly never been used, and it's a decent quality knife (where the **** did they find that?).

It did make me grab a knife close by though. I clearly remember playing with a knife while that scene happened lol.
:spyder: I used to collect a lot of knives... I still do, but i used to too. :spyder:
