I would've preferred that it be saber ground like the fradon lock exclusive, but I like 4v so much that I think I'll try to get one anyway.

Manix 2 has already been done in M4- somebody remind me how 4V is better than M4.

Just bought a bow river from them to make sure I’m as set up as I can be when Friday rolls around.

From Big Brown Bear: https://youtu.be/Wy5kAWme-ME

"From a custom knife maker perspective, there is no reason to use CPM M4. CPM 4V will have all the vanadium carbides but will be tougher and operate with a higher working hardness."

From my personal experience, 4V will keep a keen edge and a working edge a fair bit longer than M4, and M4 is way less tolerant of doing something like hitting a staple or cutting cables ..... :D

Cheers,

John

My findings aren't nearly as technical, but I completely agree...4V is greater than M4

I'm definitely into this one. Favorite platform, favorite steel...I'd buy multiples if I could. I'll be scrambling to get one, but I guess with everyone at home, they'll sell out super fast.

I was thinking the same thing, but also...sadly, many at home don't have the disposable income these days either. I'm really not sure what to expect on this one.

Do you have to be a return customer to get a better chance at snagging a knife?

If you can keep both, I'd do that. Nothing wrong with one satin and one dlc, in two fantastic steels.

I'd happily trade the Rex 45 for this one, personally. But if I can keep both, I will.
