K390 ladybug alert thread

Well... I’m not done yet. I thought I was done with the cbn rods, and have been working with the points of the brown rods only to find I’ve still got some edge glinting on the forward portion of the apex. Back to the cbn I guess. This is more material than I’ve removed on any rex45 knife so far; slow going but making progress. Once it’s sharp, it oughta stay that way for a while!! I may be ready for some vg10 after this :D

Ladybug is the only Endura/Delica family model I'm not planning on picking up. Really looking forward to the Wharnie versions too. Here's hoping we see an Endela Wharnie in K390!

Not to derail the thread but, I hope we see one too. A Wharnie Endela in VG10 would be amazing, but one in K390 would be perfect :D

Yessir. As I mentioned earlier, it would be an instant buy X2. Would make a fantastic user to add to my rotation.

I could be mistaken but I don't think the Police 4 is on that list, the Stretch 2 however should be on it. As far as I understand, the knives in the upcomming K390 series (distinctive blue), will be the same as in the ZDP-189 series (British racing green). But that's just speculation and some logical thinking :)
For me the "7 Samurai from Japan" are the Ladybug, Manbug, Dragonfly, Delica, Stretch, Endura and the newcomer Endela :D

That's a good point actually. It is possible that the rest of the K390 lineup is announced in reveal 5. I am dying for an Endura, Delica, and Delica wharncliffe already

We already have a P4 scheduled for K390 in regular production. We don't know if the steel will support a serration. ZDP would't effectively.. We're testing now.

What other "Premium Steel" are you seeking?

The Delica Wharncliffe is getting the K390 treatment for sure. I really hope we see Endura and Endela wharncliffes as well

Anyone hardness test this run yet? I'm hoping it's nearly identical to the Police4.
