They were made back in the 90's for Spyderco employees to learn the in's and outs of using a knife in self defense. Not to many of the Civilians were made but as you can see a Patent was applied for!

Plastic, they were made in the mid 90's and as you can see they were pat. pending! We used to line them with lipstick so you could tell if you scored or not when you competed!

I made a bunch of Pakkawood Police models for friends, and one Civilian.
Line for line, except for a very rounded tip, which you could apply slow drying paint for "marking" each other when you wear old clothes in training.

Welcome Louis

The patent number is associated with the civilian not the trainer itself. Also the darker trainer you show is a police not endura.

Good to see some of this early history popping up. I found an Al. Civilian at auction and like to carry it for "special occasions," it's one of those iconic designs that would be very difficult to improve on.

That is cool! I see something new everyday, it seems.

Seecamp is probably the best, true pocket pistol, there is...

Assuming you were responding to me.

That's awesome, my grandfather always carried one in his pocket, ready to rock. I've got his old Colt 22mag, but I don't know what happened to the old Seecamp.

I've been looking for the right deal on one, but haven't bit the bullet yet. I usually carry a P365, these days. Its amazingly small, considering it has 11 rounds of 9mm in it.

Once I finally break down and buy one, it will probably go in my wife's purse. She likes little shiny stuff, haha.

Back on topic, that is an awesome wooden trainer!

To heck with topic I've carried that .32 every day since I got it in '93 and I have my own indoor firing range in my back yard. I pop off a mag once every other month just because I have a teenager!
