Post 2500, and a "new" toy.

OK, if anyone enters contests on BFC, you know that T Erdelyi had one running with a "bday guess". I won a "new" slipjoint for being closest, with a wild guess.

2.5" (cutting edge), modified warncliff, single blade slipjoint. Has some pretty good snap to it. Just sharpened the edge in about 3min on sandpaper. No idea on steel.

Tang markings: top arc, first bit is unreadable, 2nd bit looks like "Howarth"

bottom arc reads "Sheffield Eng"

3 pins in handles, last pin covers the end of the back spacer/spring. pivot pin through bolsters(which appear to be brass)

ground on both sides, and has a swedge to just behind nail nick(both sides).

going to oil it up and carry it for sheeple duty.

pretty nice timing, 2500 posts and this same day.

S&S> plan to tip a few on this next weekend. I get a 3 day weekend. They asked us if we wanted monday or tuesday(actual holiday) off for canada day... we took the 3 day.

Vox> already enjoying it...

Congratulations on your mileage and your new knife as well. Always enjoyed your refreshing topics. They also say Sheffield steels are great.

mmm.. 3k-retirement sounds just ripe! I can spend more time with my frogs and s! Then 'reincarnate' with a different username.. say like : 'frog-dude' , 'themadtraveller' or something like that..
