Para 3 Lightweight in Maxamet?

#1

Post by kennethsime »

Sal,

What're the chances of a Para 3 LW in Maxamet?

After I saw foofie's thread I got a hankering. We've got the Manix and the Native LWs in Maxamet, how about a Para 3?

Best,
Kenneth
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

That would be a fun knife. Maxamet is really expensive though...

Yes please!
I would buy another, just for the grey frn. Maxamet is a lot of fun - and using it in the lightweight platform would make it a bit less expensive.

It seems like a rather expensive steel to put into a LW frame, add to that the fact that I think a good number of Maxamet users actually are on the hard-use end of users, I don't know how quickly they would fly off the shelves... but maybe. If you're a huge fan of maxamet, the blade swap is easy, and finding a used Para3 LW on the secondary markets isn't super difficult...

I will own one... as soon as the Cobalt Blue SPY27 is released.

Actually, I am not so convinced I will like the LW. I have been waiting for the SPY27 version to come out to try one, and to test out the new steel. Two birds, one stone. I already own the Maxamet Para 3.
