Clever solution. I like wire clips myself, I just wish they were a bit stronger. This new Lynch clip should be tough to keep in stock.

I’d like exactly the reverse - a wire clip that fits the three screw hole fixing.

YES!!!! I've wanted that forever!

I love what Lynch has done, and I have a knife or two that I would like to try this on, but if they made a wire clip installable on a traditional clip equiped knife, in satin/black, and available at different "depths" to accommodate different knives & depth of carry, I would have to think those would be impossible to make enough of...

The wire clip is nice, but if it's on a knife you carry often and take out of your pocket 20+ times a day, it seems to lose it's retention rather quickly.

Me too! I like the Lynch as an alternative the Spyderco hourglass clips but wouldn't want one as a replacement for the wire clips. I wire clip to replace the hourglass clip would be fantastic IMO

Haven't experienced that yet or I just haven't noticed it. It should be easy enough to put a little tension back on it.

Casey sent me a prototype to test out, and they are very nice. They are designed for wire clips with the clip screws located midway down the scale clip channels, like the Para 3, Manix 2, Lil Native (below), Urban, and FRN UKPKs (and probably a few others). They are NOT designed to replace clips held down with screws at the top end of the channel, which is basically every wire clip model out of Taichung and Japan (trust me nothing would have made me more excited than to put one on my Caly 3.5 and Techno, but no go). Now you might see pics of folks managing to install them on those knives but you have to tighten the clip screw in holding the Torx driver at an angle, which is definitely not optimal for fully tightening it down or stripping the clip screw. So, that said, another incredible offering from my good friend Casey! :D

Someone posted a pic on FB that it fits their CQI Chef with the black hardware

I need the exact opposite of this product: something that adds a wire clip to the regular pocket clip models!

I have never had this happen with any of my wire clip Spydercos. Not even with Meerkats (different wire clip than newer models) and certainly not with my gen 1 blue Dodo or anything after that.

I, too, would be interested in a good wire clip design that works on 3 screw models. :)

It happened with my Chap LW. I carried it everyday along with something else for a few months straight, but used it quite often each and everyday. Maybe just my experience, but it got to the point that it didn't provide any resistance when pulling it out of my pocket.

Absolutely, shorter and stiffer clip won't ever be a problem.

Didn't that model get a redesign? Something about the clip screw and a CQI mold change?

I believe the clip channel on one side of the FRN scales was shallower than the other and the clip could pop out. Reportedly fixed with CQI.
