That’s great news. I can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with.

Dear Sal and Dear Doc,

i bought a rare Baby Horn Sprint Run these days.
It's different from the other Spydercos i own but also the Roadie is.
Supposing it whouldn't have a lock and a more Wharnie blade.......

What do you think?

ASF, that might be interesting. I like the narrower pointy blade in that knife. Just the thing for carving fall pumpkins.

a classic slipjoint blade profile with spyderco twist which is very fitting in my opinion. I like that too.

Thanks! that is a great looking model. How is the fit and finish on yours?

I would buy a slipjoint in that pattern in a heart beat.

Hi Doc,

the finish is very good.
It also fits good for a small knife, but one hand opening is a little tricky because its so slim i think.
A DFY or Lil'Native performs better whith one hand.

I also whould prefer a less pointed tip.
A roadie styled blade whould be nice.

But this whould be another knife, maybe the Roadie 2.
I love the Baby Horn too.

I’m very interested in this topic, I’ve grown more fond of slippeies, I also love that we get to interact with the company and it’s employees on this level. Very cool to see. I would certainly be interested in something from Spyderco along these lines. I like the idea of a sub 3” blade, 2.6+ seems right as stated, a wire clip fits well. I don’t have a blade shape preference per say. I will be watching this. Very cool to see the conversation unfold.

The Roadie is my favorite small knife.

A quick sketch. I like a little shape to the top of a sheep’s footie type blade.

Sal must be on vacation. I've not seen him here for a while.

Sal, when you surface, let us know if there are any updates on this knife, please.

Hi Doc,

I have a few drawings. I'm working remote right now. Thanx for the tickle, I'll pull them out.
