1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past?
I purchased a few. Some of the better steels I purchased multiples. (k390, Maxamet, 110V)
2) Did you put a handle on it?
I put scales on one and I wrapped some. The M390 stayed bare because I used it for food prep and other things. Made it easier to wash.

3) Did you make or buy a sheath?

Made my own sheaths

4) Did you test the performance of your Mule?

Yes. Cut lots of material with the K390. Cut other steels and knives with the Maxamet

5) Did you test the performance against other Mule Team knives?
Yes. Maxamet won't scratch K390 and vice versa. With reasonable pressure of course.

6) Did you share your experience/findings with the Spyderco forum? Yes. Posted pics of the K390 test. Spoke about the Maxamet.

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past?
Yes
2) Did you put a handle on it?
I make my own.
3) Did you make or buy a sheath?
Bought from Sheath Pro and Red Hill
4) Did you test the performance of your Mule?
Yes, most were gifts though because the platform lets me make something unique for friends and family that is a high quality steel. PMA11 was fantastic on big game and just kept on going. RWL34 and 4v have done well, B70p has seen light duty, PD1 just arrived and is in the process of getting a handle.
5) Did you test the performance against other Mule Team knives?
Before sending them off, yes. My wife and son's are PMA11 and I am overjoyed with those. RWL43 is in the kitchen doing well.
6) Did you share your experience/findings with the Spyderco forum?
I just joined so I could post on this thread, I'd buy every Mule from here on out.

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past?

I have purchased 8 different Mules.

2) Did you put a handle on it?

I have made two handles and purchased one set from Halpern.

3) Did you make or buy a sheath?

I had a Kydex sheath made and also bought a leather one from Spyderco.

4) Did you test the performance of your Mule?

Not very scientifically but I have used them all quite a bit.

5) Did you test the performance against other Mule Team knives?

Again, just used them all quite a bit for normal field uses.

6) Did you share your experience/findings with the Spyderco forum?

I did start a thread about my S110V Mule. Other than that I have just shared my feelings and observations in various threads.

Here you go...

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past?
Yes. 6 I believe: LC200N, A11, RWL34, B70P, PD1A (x2).

2) Did you put a handle on it?
Yes. Black G10/3D purchased from SFO (x4). Watching Halpern as I would like same handle in other color/material.

3) Did you make or buy a sheath?
Yes. Purchased 1 boltaron and 1 leather from SFO. Planning to purchase another leather.

4) Did you test the performance of your Mule?
Using two of them. Just use and gauge my impressions. Don't do rope/cardboard cut count tests, etc.

5) Did you test the performance against other Mule Team knives?
No. VG10 is my base comparison steel and gauge my impressions relative to familiarity with VG10. This will likely change in the future as I become familiar with other steels.

6) Did you share your experience/findings with the Spyderco forum?
No. General comment only. I'm too new to this to provide advanced/expert opinion.

I'm very happy to hear of the possible return of the Mule Teams.

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past?
Yes, at least one each starting with MT05 9Cr8Mo (4 each of that one)

2) Did you put a handle on it?
Yes, made one, bought enough block material to make lots more that I haven't got around to making, and bought a number of them from Halpern Titanium

3) Did you make or buy a sheath?
Yes - made one, had someone make one, and bought several of the ones from Sheath Pro. Bought the video from Mike Sastre on how to make Kydex sheaths.

4) Did you test the performance of your Mule?
Not formally

5) Did you test the performance against other Mule Team knives?
Only in casual whittling comparison

6) Did you share your experience/findings with the Spyderco forum?
Just comments on which one I reached for most often (Cobalt)
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)

Hey, everyone:
As most of you know, the Mule Team will be returning in the future. We'd love to ask you some questions that could assist us with our plans. If you purchased a Mule Team previously, please take a few moments to answer the following questions. Please copy and paste the questions into your reply. I'll keep this pinned at the top of General Discussion for a while to give everyone an opportunity to complete it. We appreciate your help!

Thanks much!

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past?

2) Did you put a handle on it?

3) Did you make or buy a sheath?

4) Did you test the performance of your Mule?

5) Did you test the performance against other Mule Team knives?

6) Did you share your experience/findings with the Spyderco forum?
1) yes, I purchased several Mule Team knives.

2) I put handles on 5 or 6 MT knives, all homemade. Cork, ebony, canvas micarta were the materials I remember using..

3) I made two sheaths designed for knives in drawers, rather than worn on body.

4) yes, one was on kitchen duty for a year and another I use in my wood shop.

5) not really. Several I gave away as gifts.

6) I shared my experience with the 9Cr18Mo kitchen mule on this forum, in reply to a direct question from Sal. Of all the Mules, that one gave the most bang for the buck. I retired it from kitchen use because the blade was thicker behind the edge than our other kitchen knives, and short. The MT platform makes a better shop, bushcraft, or mechanic’s knife than kitchen knife, in my opinion.

I once purchased a CPM20CV Mule. From SFO with the G10 and sheath as well. Did not have a chance to compare it to another Mule. I did like the performance of the Mule but wished it had thinner stock. I think this is the first time I've mentioned it since the initial purchase.
