Email notification from GP Knives worked great. I had just pulled my phone out and got the email. I was able to snag one.

KnifeJoy!

Says sold out, but I think they are updating it because it now allows you to add the knife to your cart and checkout (it didn't allow this earlier today).

I was about to grab a second one but then I decided that's not cool while others are hunting still. Glad you found one!

These things are slippery. I got in an order at knife joy and got confirmation, but that's happened to me twice at different retailers so far, so we'll see. Please, please let this be the one! Quick question - I noticed as mentioned earlier that Cutlery Shoppe removed the page completely. Has anyone seen if REC and KnifeCenter have had them already? I think BladeHQ already did. I'm just trying to plan ahead in case this one comes back saying I didn't get it. Thanks in advance!

I know I was on the notification list for both REC and KnifeCenter and haven't received anything from either. Not that that means a whole lot...

I hope a couple of you were able to get in on the KnifeJoy drop. Honestly, this has been the most frustrating sprint release I've dealt with. I think it's a combination of living on the West Coast (most drops happen while I'm working) and being stuck at work for much longer hours until this Covid-19 crap blows over.

I really wish there was some kind of plan for releases. Like maybe all stores hold the knives until a certain day decided by Spyderco (after all distributors have received their knives)... Or maybe if the distributors gave us a couple days notice (or even hours) of when the drop will happen on their site. On the other hand... Checkout bots have become a HUGE problem for limited releases, especially since the Coronavirus hit and having a designated release time might make that worse. Nintendo Switch's, VR headsets, limited release shoes, etc have all been selling out the moment they drop because people are using checkout bots and reselling the merchandise for much higher prices.

P.S.
In my rush to checkout I completely forgot I had a 10% off coupon for KnifeJoy, lol.
