I ordered a lemon yellow set for my newly acquired Rex 45 Shaman. Cannot wait to see how they look and feel. Guess it will become the Leman.
How about Shamellow? :) share your results if you can, I'd love to see a yellow Shaman.

Thats pretty good. I definately will. Theyre taking their sweet time shipping. Ordered 4 days ago and they have them in stock.

I like it! I love that Fireside has some unique colors like this in addition to the usual gray, od green, etc.

Fireside, if you follow this thread, we need some purple!

Although I will say, I still prefer the grooved putman micarta scales to the checker patterned terotuf ones I got from fireside.
is this still true after having them for more time? i've been looking at the terotuf again, but i initially wanted the grooved micarta scales you're talking about here. thanks!

Overtime I've grown, not really to dislike terotuf...but not really that impressed with it either. Considering last I checked most scales were around $90. You can find comparable scales in the $50-70 range.

Yep, still true. The putman scales are my favorites. I still have them on a pm2 and a Shaman, and they're just an awesome combo of "softness" and grip.

Hi Julia,

Do you know how many Spyderco models for which they build scales?

Sorry for stepping on Julia's toes but I was curious too....

Looks like they make scales for 11 Spyderco models
