I saw those...if I didn't already have micarta scales on my smock, I would've bought a set! ;)

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Something about the peel ply CF it comes with really appeal to me...though a Sprint/Exclusive, I'm ready for something different!

To give you an idea.. these are the flat green putman scales. GPK has the grooved ones, which I've got on my manix and they're awesome.

I keep thinking about switching back to the original cf scales, because they really do look nice, and they suit the design. But then I pick up the micarta and it feels so nice, I just can't do it! I hope we get a sprint with something totally different, though. White micarta and dlc blade or a crazy color/pattern g10, etc. Smock's SK23s have all kinds of cool scales - love 'em.

I hear ya Julia! I love that look of the new Benchmade Mini Bugout with the white scales and black blade/hardware...a Smock in that configuration, even with S30V at $200, would be like trying to find a Crucarta Shaman on drop days!

I’d prefer if they were flat and didn’t come with speed holes. But they still look very nice.
