What the heck I just did......
Yesterday I was browsing knivesandtools and they had REX 45 Manix still in stock.....a bit more expensive then I saw on other european shops, but somehow my brain just stopped working and I ordered one......I guess this is my Spyderco folder purchase for this year.
If you can only make one spyderco purchase for the year, you picked a great one!

Congrats!! :)

So you did what I was very, very close to... ;)
I am sure this must be a great knife, I myself did not pull the trigger in the end solely cause I am trying to focus on SE blades
I was also thinking about LW model (not released yet) too, but then I saw G10 model still in stock, and I was like: Oh yeah, steel and G10, that sounds good  but I guess I would be completly good even with LW model

I am trying my best to reduce knife purchases :D I will make some pics when it arrives.

You won't be disappointed Pancake, it's truly a GREAT KNIFE! My personal favorite model/steel combination. The only knife I actually own 2 of.

Knife came yesterday and I have some time play with it. It's nice. Ergos are really good, all the grooves fits my hand like a glove. Good choke up position. Not sure about all that jimping, but it did not cause a hot spot yet. I cut some cardboard, some onions, and I made a featherstick or 10. So far so good.
CBBL is fun, I like that it has some bias to close position. More thoughts will come.

Incredibly, these recently popped up as in stock at the U.K. importer, and at a similar price as the standard s30v version, and much cheaper than the LW. Needless to say I now have one...

I like looking back at this thread and comment just over a year ago, and still feeling the same way :)

It’s a direct purchase from the long-standing, official importer, so unlikely, and certainly doesn’t feel like it. I will have to see whether it sharpens like “surgical stainless steel” or something helluvalot harder!

Not saying it's impossible but the sprints and exclusive versions aren't usually counterfeited

Plus, we don't know how long these were sitting at Customs waiting approval. I'm sure there was a backlog there like everywhere else during the pandemic.
