I prefer 16,000... :D

Or the sound of my amalgam snicking shut!
My ole Civic type R cut out was around 9500rpms (Hondata) can't imagine 16k or 11k

I'm guessing bikes? :)

Kawi zx6r :D 16,500 redline. Love the sound of a 600 with its neck rung. High rpm Hondas do sound similar, I've always loved the way the s2000s sounded when uncorked. Similar powerband to an inline 4 bike as well. No torque, all horsepower.

...the soft, whispery sound a fiber laser makes when cutting thick steel?

Wait, what did this have to do with knives? :p :D

Hahaha yes, some Honda's definitely have that sound!

The thread never really had a specific purpose related to knives, even Sal himself derailed it :p

Very true... Thinking about it, it would've been hard to stay on topic after a few replies anyway. There really aren't that many sounds a knife can make hahah :D

The sound of a cheap exhaust on a budget Honda... Terrible! But a quality system on a built high rpm Honda? Pure music!

Some people hate the sound of Nissan vq engines... But I love them as long as the exhaust is done right. Go true dual and you lose the sound it's supposed to have. Reminiscent of the old inline 6 heritage of the Z cars!

Probably going to buy and XSR900 this spring. I think I will quickly learn to love the sound of a 847cc triple at 11,000. :)

After I read the first few posts last night I checked and my Ti Millie makes a double click but my Inkosi makes a chunk sound. Never noticed how different they were. The sound of wind in the trees or a waterfall in the near distance are favorites. Once while backpacking I had a Raven pass just overhead and the sound of it’s wings through the air was unforgettable.

Triples can sound amazing! I do like the triumph triples. So different, so good! I also like the Yamaha flat plane crank sound as well.

As Sal says, all good, just different!
