I love the progression of this thread.

Rock Jumper...

Stumpjumper...

Steel framed bicyles...

BMX...

What's next, 90's rap artists? Lol

Well I'm just glad it's not a fight about climbing anymore. Plus what more can we even talk about until we know more about the knife?

And I liked a little rap but I was a metal head kid.

Indeed, I was just laughing about it. It looks like one of my internet history progressions. Start at penguins, end at Stonehenge.

I too was(am) a Heavy Metal fan. DMX just worked better for that bit. :D

Another metal head from the 80’s here. I like a lot of stuff now, but a power chord’ll do you good.

I had a mother who listened to everything from classic rock to Motown oldies stuff, a dad who liked Elvis and classic country, and two older brothers who were into metal and my best friend who was more open minded about rap than me so I got influenced from almost all directions. I played a little bit of piano and bass guitar (never was much good at either) but I learned enough about how music is written and played to appreciate that heavy music is often extremely complicated to play, and that's part of the attraction for me.

Anyway back to the knife. I saw someone ask if this knife was shown as a prototype, does anyone else remember seeing a knife that fits this description?

I respect any musician with talent, regardless of genre.
Unfortunately, there is a serious lack of it in todays musical industry.

As for the knife, I can't say. But, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be looking for it at Blade Show this year!

Sal says in the next Reveal.

But considering this is the only edge-to-handle backlock (excluding Centofante, who decided not to put the clip on both sides), I think we deserve a picture of the prototype.

Mr. Glesser?

Pretty please? :D

Can't wait for a pic...

/ The Centofante also is hollow/sabre grind, I hope the Rockjumper will be the first (I am aware of) edge to handle FFG Spyderco backlock...

The Chinook is almost there, but still has a small Ricasso (and is not a regular back-, but powerlock)

The Introvert is the answer to that. Hook a carabiner through the finger hole flipper thingy, so it can't open.
The original prototype (and my personal version) have a hole in the flipper tab for carabiners. With a carabiner through that hole, you can push down on the handle to partially open the blade into a nice V with the handle that works great for cutting rope. It's my go-to climbing knife. You can mod the existing one by drilling a hole in the part of the flipper that kind of makes a corner to flip from.
It's also good because you can hold your hand hold with the knife deployed in many circumstances.

Or better yet, a Chattanoogadam meet so I can attend :P

My only worry with this knife is that it won't be offered in SE. Then again if it's designed around cutting rope and such I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Hi Jazz,

I'm expecting a production sample n a couple of days. I'll get an exact measurement.
.....
Hi Sal,

may I ask: Do you happen to have the measurements yet and if, would you like to share them?
