Not sure how that would work. If you go for a Wharncliffe style tip by modifying the spine, you'd be cutting into the "double dent" opener and the tip doesn't appear to sit very deep in the handle, so a drop point style tip probably wouldn't work because raising the tip would be likely to expose it when the knife is closed.

I saw a really cool proto by TRM that put the idea of an extreme clip point in my head. I tried it out in Pixelmator.

I think you could do it with patience and a regular grinding wheel? Maybe a dremel and a bench vise?

This reminds me of one-hand opening traditional knives.

There are lots of variations. Here's an example.

I found a nice one a while back when I googled for it. It was a regrind done by Razor Edge Let me see if I can figure out how to post a link to the image.

I don't think I'd want to remove the double dent. I think it's one of the best features of the Roadie. I also find that on these type of slip joints I don't really miss the point (which surprised me).

You beat me to it. I remember seeing that on Instagram thinking I might have to have them do that to mine.

I had to make the easy opener groove, since I got rid of the divots in the thinning process. I miss the divots, plus the blade finish looks like crap now, and I miss the bug on the blade, so I don’t use it. It cuts great, though.

It was the thickness I didn’t like. The blade shape is great. Not sure why I ruined that.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Those are some interesting mods. I was thinking of starting just past the divot and making a dramatic clip point.

That is a Roadie that I would buy!

I really like the Roadie. It has grown on me. I’ve given quite a few away as gifts. I would like to see a bit more point. I was trying to make a hole in my wife’s drink carton because she lost her straw. I had to cut an X in the top instead of merely poking a hole where the straw would’ve gone.
