Your favorite linered lockbacks?

Post by GarageBoy »

I feel like these have decreased in popularity (and g10 seki models are $$$) - but plenty of fans still remain

What's your favorite?

Probably the discontinued Rookie. It's like a Delica on a diet.

The very modern Chaparrel is also an easy pick, just by virtue of the slim blade stock and the excellent lockup.

Endura 4, Stretch 1 (discontinued), Endela SE (for the serrated version comes in ffg), Chaparral FRN
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Native 5 CPM154/S90V Sprint with peel-ply carbon fiber scales.. love that knife! I enjoy the added heft over the linerless Natives.. a little extra, but still not too heavy (for me)..

Police 4 lightweight, Endura, chaparral, straight spine stretch 2.

I like goldens backlocks better but they have moved away from liners.

Does the blue g10 on the siren count as liners? :)

Are we counting skeletonized liners? In that case, the frn delica definitely has my vote. If we're talking full beefy liners then I've gotta put in another vote for the pakkawood delica.

1.) Baby Horn

2.) Caly 3.5

If I didn't have the Caribbean, this would be my combo.

My new straight spine Stretch 2. I don't know how it flew under my radar for so long!
I didn't care for the ivory color, because I knew it would look filthy after a couple of days. But, Rit dye took care of that :)

I have been trying to get another one of these(black pearl model) ever since I made the mistake of selling mine...

I agree. It's one of the best knives Spyderco has ever made, in my opinion.

When the K390 lightweight comes out, I'll have a serious dilemma on my hands. Do I need another K390 P4?

Probably. :D

G10 Delica and G10 Dragonfly. I would love Cru-carta versions of these, or even just G10/Cruwear. Either way. But Cru-carta PLEASE!! :D

G10 Native. It’s a tank, but not too heavy. I still prefer the lighter Natives, but since you asked.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Among the Natives, this is the one I like best. I like the heft of the blade and the balance of the knife. I purchased two and gifted one to a cousin. :spyder:
